Entune update 11/10?

So this is my 2nd update for my console. Anyone notice a difference or know what the update entails?

 

Hmmm... IDK, but I had a 20218 Tacoma and used Entune everytime I got in the truck. Bought a new 2021 and Entunde can find my VIN. I'm wondering, too.

 

I've never noticed any changes with any update. Maybe it's just security patches?

 

Hopefully it fixes the iPhone 13 Bluetooth issue!

 

OTA or downloaded on a thumb drive?

 

OTA. It prompted me for a required update this morning when I started the truck.

 

Same here, all apps are still there it seems (last time the update was to remove features).

EDIT: I think I remember reading somewhere this update had something to do with app usage while the vehicle is in motion.

 

It updated this morning in my way to work, so at lunchtime I looked around for changes missing or added apps, nop, everything looks the same, I have been searching the web but no info has come up, however I did notice that the entune app is logging in automatically as before I was always prompted to connect, don’t know if it was me pressing buttons or was the actual update

 

Hopefully Alexa now lets you use Spotify.

 

Yea everything is the same on mine or atleast no noticeable changes. It’d be nice if they somehow updated that terrible stock gps but that won’t happen.

 

Mine says it is up to date.

 

Can you use Entune WITHOUT Alexa?

I have installed Entune on my phone and after couple days I had to delete it because of the stupid Alexa app.

I dug around to see if I can delete just the Alexa app from the head unit, but no avail.
