I'm going to buy a cheap slide one at Harbor Freight next visit. You probably need a real one of some sort with all your wooded properties!

 

Do you have a bbq smoker or for heat?

 

I only cut up what I need, everything else gets grabbed up and thrown on burn piles, with the freeze last year I probably was burn 15 to 25 pieces a day. I do cut up some smaller branches or trees for the small smoker at the farm. I usually cut up trees that do not require splitting, but I have had few bigger hickory trees die on me at the house, and I need to take out another larger oak tree.

Over the summer man I was putting some 8 to 9in diameter mesquites on burn piles, I didn't have time to mess with any thing, I had to keep the hours going on that Skidsteer to maximize the usuasge of 160 hours.

 

Mostly heat but also bbq

 

No, but I saw some at Harbor Freight this weekend when I bought a generator. I am a member of their Insider's Club if you want one.

 

HF doesn't sell a big enough one, needs to be close 30ton or more. We had one at the family ranch, but a cousin decided that their need was greater than everyone(family) else's, and I had picked up that one and delivered to the ranch/rant. Tractor Supply does at $2k, I'm really trying not to buy another maintenance item, lol I have enough to keep up with already, I was thinking of getting one for the tractor, it will use the pto/hydraulics.

I looked around FB Marketplace, and HF. FB really has nothing used, just rehash of new ones and rental. HF is short on supply most everywhere around us. Amazon prices aren't all that much better either, if at all. Availability is tho.....

Wonder if Kent @DiamondW has a splitter? Gonzales is right next door!
