Hey Matt, question for you about what you would recommend or be able to do. I'm have a Prinsu rack on a DCSB, and I'm looking to mount red LEDs to the sides of the rack, to shine down on the truck doors and ground nearby, if that makes sense? What would you recommend for lighting, mounting, and routing?

Will say. These are my favorite thing I've added to my Tacoma. They make a HUGE difference.

I dont know what the wiring looks like for this kit, but if it were to have the same connector end as the factory bed lighting kits that connect to the tail lights and can be turned on with the interior switch I'd buy this kit right now. The lights look great but I'd like to see them operate like factory bed lights

Due to liability I do not provide any wiring instructions to wire my light kits into factory wiring, they are wire to the trucks battery and have a bed mounted switch.

If you don’t mind tapping into OEM wiring, you can get an in line tap and run it to the lights. Pretty easy as is. You can also find someone that makes a t-tap to those lights and connect it up that way.

Overall his kits are amazing with great support for them. It is very easy to set up your own system for them. I have the bed light kit, engine bay kit, and an extra set that sits below my doors as curtesy lights when you open the door. It’s easy to tap wherever you want.
And they work perfectly just like that.

I make a bed light T harness using OEM connectors, with option for a relay if needed, which works with 2020+ Tacomas.

I fully understand and support Matt and own several of his products. I think the primary concerns when it comes to adding load to factory circuits are personal accountability and safety. Nobody wants anyone to get hurt or any property to get damaged. At the same time, one bad scenario could easily wipe out an entire small business.

TLDR, you have options, feel free to DM me for more detail.

DSIM's solution for rock lights can be employed for bed lighting on older trucks, it's the same basic concept though maybe not the ideal harness for bed lighting specifically.

I can do a cargo T but I have no pre-packaged solution for adding bed lights via cargo switch. And I haven't done my own yet on either truck, shame on me right :)

It's mostly a problem of having to bundle a bunch of cable, route through the firewall, mount a relay, so much install work that offering a kit is just opening myself up to owning the solution and most of the solution doesn't involving any OEM specific connectors.

If you want a cargo T harness, I can do that but I believe @kmorgan3 has 'em too. I believe the output is the purple wire and it is ground switched?

Thinking about picking up your underhood kit. How will the 3m tape hold up in the engine bay and does the harness hook up to the battery? Thanks

The tape hold well. Yes the lights wire to the trucks battery and have a small push button switch.

Do you sell a replacement harness of sorts? I haven't looked at the actual wiring in a while, just know that my ground wire kept breaking and now there is like no extra ground wire to use.

Or is it simple enough to just run new wire myself?

Would be quicker for you to just buy a length of wire from your local hardware store, I can provide replacement parts if needed. PM me if you need more specific info on anything.
