Initial impression, feels pretty good. I like the ratcheting strap. Im used to Icon street helmets. If they are 8/10, this is a 7.2/10 in quality. I may have also bought the wrong size. I think im going to try to get different cheek pads instead of trying to return it.

I might try tomorrow in the late morning.

I'm not one for gov't mandates or interventions but in this case? Yeah, I'd agree to adopting the Japanese model...

I don't think my Sena 20S Evo will fit my new helmet, so it might be for sale soon (at a steep discount)

I rencently bought a cheap Amazon Bluetooth kit for my helmet. I got it primarily for turn by turn directions. Something like $15- I got exactly what I paid for. The sound quality is pretty low- I have to actively listen for directions and sometimes have trouble making them out over my (stock) exhaust. There’s also a lag in audio if there’s long bits of silence between directions so I sometimes will miss out on the first few syllables of the directions. Which can be the difference in “(in half a mile) turn at the light”. I tend to try and commit directions to memory but it’s still annoying.
The music playback is actually pretty good for my use. I didn’t want it to be loud so I can see have situational awareness but loud enough that I can hear it in the background so it’s perfect there.

My unsolicited $0.02: keep it on your old helmet. You may find that for long rides you hate the peak and the noise of the new helmet and your old one is quieter. Or your old one may just match your outfit or purse better one day vs the next. I have 4 helmets I rotate pretty regularly.

Or sell it to @GHOST SHIP , yolo

    ^hes got a point.
I still have all my old helmets. Including the one I wrecked with. Good if you want to switch out or let someone borrow one. At the very least, they’re cool garage art. I have my father’s original helmet from the 70s up there too in all it’s root beer- metal flake glory.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
What sort of gas mileage did you get on the long days? My VFR800fi gets about 44 mpg if I nurse it. Stopping for gas is time consuming and not restful, I would rather ride longer without gas stops, and stop somewhere quiet for relaxation and a stretch.

Im going to keep the helmet, but the sena is removable. I am going to try for a test ride tomorrow with the new one.

I was just talking with someone else about this too. Saying that I like Icon helmets, and rhat i even have this old one for some shelf candy. I used it when i had my Z125

Every time I see the circles I think they are pointing out a feature on the bike like this.
