If I ever get a custom header image, I'd want it to be this one.

Still happy with the Greatus brackets? A search shows you're the only one who has mentioned them. They're $32cdn which is far cheaper than the "good" brackets and I don't need to worry about shipping/customs/handling.

I'm looking at some Auxbeam lights as well. They look good enough for what I need which is mostly just not hitting a deer.

Oh yeah, these things are great for the price. The lights are pretty good too, but I think I'd go with yellow ones next time.

Not much of an update, chasing little rattles that are my own fault. I need to redo the wiring to the overhead console, because it's rattling like a bitch. Got some molex connectors on order, maybe I can get that done this weekend.

Also ordered a handheld GMRS to pair with the unit in the truck, will see how well it works. Will get a second if it does. Also studying for a HAM license, but I don't know what I'll be doing for comms with that. More of a, might as well go ahead and get it while it's still cheap sorta thing.

Seriously leaning toward upgrading my fog lights with SS3 SAEs. I might go all yellow on the auxiliary lights.

I may be biased, but this front camera install looks clean as fuck.

It's a Natika, same one found in the premium ABC kit. https://www.amazon.com/NATIKA-Backu...M,B015PVD9ME,B07X1YLC2L,B07Q85L22L,B086DL32R3

I followed the instructions and drilled the appropriate hole as far back and as centered as I could go. The only trouble was that the fairing for the TSS made putting the nut on impossible. So I drilled out the fairing as well.

I'll try to update this post in a bit with a picture of the head unit when it is on. I powered it via an empty spot in my Bussman fuse block.

Forgot about this. I used this the other morning when my windshield fogged up a bit heading into the sunrise.

Also, ordered a set of the Diode Dynamics Sport SS3s to replace the factory fogs. Considering putting the yellow overlay on the Heise bar and possibly the ditch lights.

    Actual content? If that's allowed.

So I finally tested out my Viair 88P compressor and I have to say I mostly like it. I do think, however, the user experience can be improved. And to do that means semi-permanently mounting it under the hood. I think. We'll see. With the ABS controller on the passenger side, and my Bussman fuse box on the driver side, my mounting spots are somewhat limited.

Here's a sneak peek of my idea, though.

How fast is it? Like from 25 psi up to 35 psi, we talking a couple minutes?

I carry a little one behind the seat and it's dreadfully slow. Especially with my 33s

I didn't time it out, but it wasn't too bad. Went from lower 20s to 35 indicated (32 actual) in I'd say no more than a couple of minutes. I wasn't sitting there forever or anything. These measure out at about 31.5" though.

Very nice, very bright. Not obnoxiously so, and at a much cheaper cost than the Pro or Max.

Yeah, a considerably cheaper cost. Any issues with the install? Did you have to adjust anything?

Nothing at all. The cutoff seems appropriate for what I put them in at, started out with best fitment up against the stock housing and didn't see a reason to come off that.

Easy to remove the grille, the two plastic baffles, and I could reach down and take care of things.

    Well, screw you too IG.

    Here's the text:

Semi-permanent installation of #viair88p is complete. If I need to take it out to air up another vehicle or something not near the truck, I loosen the battery holedown nut a little, disconnect the lead, and it’s portable again.

The stock battery clips can then be reconnected using the same Delphi connector that is used to hook up to the aux fuse box.

It’s #onboardair on a budget, without sacrificing the portability such a small unit offers.

By happy accident, the lip sits under the battery hold down plate. I have a few cables that sit below it that provide just the right amount of cushion/height to make it work. Is it perfect? No. I had planned to fab a mount that would tie into the battery holddown, and may look at something a bit more standard if I ever want to put this into production. This is basically functioning as a prototype mk. 1.

Been a slow couple of months on the truck side of life. Holiday season, house repairs due to a storm, getting ready for my eldest to turn 16 and ruin me financially.

It's a 1998 Accord EX, and I think I paid a fair price considering the market. With a vehicle approaching Classic status, there are some things that need addressing. Lots of minor things, couple of major ones.

The most vexing was an issue with the driver's seat, it would rock back on acceleration. Not something you want with an inexperienced driver at the helm, so I had to figure that one out sooner rather than later. I discovered that the pivot arm that controls the height had come unattached to the bracket, causing a dual pivot point. I did my worst impression of a welder and got it sorted back out.

While I was at it, we pulled the other front seat and shampooed the carpet and cleaned all the hard surfaces. Got it taxed, tagged, and just got the title back yesterday. Tomorrow it will go in for the timing belt, considering the best guess from the previous owner is that it's overdue.

As for the Taco, I just ordered the interior footwell light kit, and am waiting for puddle pods to come back in stock. Other than that, I'm about at the point to be looking for a next major mod. Lift, exhaust, roof rack. We'll see.
