    Hi All,
I have a 2021 Sr-5 that has 4080mi on it. I recently went from the stock 245's up to some Cooper 265/75-r16 on the stock wheels, and have noticed some play in the steering wheel - especially on the highway. It's not much - less than 1/4", but concerning nonetheless. As a newcomer to TW, I thought I'd ask: Is this a known issue when sizing up the tires and I just have to get used to it, or is there something more sinister lurking that I should get checked out?

I read a bunch of threads here and on other forums about changing out the rack etc., but that seems like the nuclear option for a truck this new. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The bigger the tire the more play you will have. However it shouldn't be completely dead for a 1/4". If it's bothering you I would take it to a shop to see if they can get rid of the play. 265 is a stock size for the truck in some trims, it should be able to handle it with 0 play

Cool, thanks for that Tacomod. If it gets any worse over time I'll take it in.

There shouldn’t be any steering wheel play. Have it checked out
