Stellar job! If only I had the tools and the time. I will be sending mine back for a rebuild and coils swap maybe next year

Adjusted my fronts (ride height: added) and now i hear a weird noise is coming from the driver side i believe when i go over bumps and such. Double checked to make sure everything is tightened down. Any suggestions? Hard to describe the noise.

Check where your anti sway bar comes close to the coil spring. It's a tight fit in that area, so yours might be tapping each other.

    Well that isn't it.

Does the remote hydro fitting come close to the UCA, enough to possibly touch under load?

Do your best. Try describing the noise.

How much ride height did you add?

It’s almost like a clunk noise but not lol. I’ll see if I can get a video of it. I added about an inch.

You changed the collar position exposing 1" of threads, or a 1/2" more?

Did you get a new wheel alignment after making the change?

It could be coil twist causing a slight noise as the suspension flexes now that more pressure is on the coil…try adding a little Lubricant where the coil end rests on metal…just guessing

    Whole lotta stuff
WD-40, I am told, is really bad for seals. So if ya use it, make sure it doesn’t seep where the shaft seal is at.

wd 40 isn't all that good for most plastic and rubber parts. Not really all it's cracked up to be

you are right. I should have said lubricant. WD-40 eats grease too even if you don’t want it to.

I'll throw another thought in here... maybe the shock is topping out since it has additional pre load pushing it to ride closer to the top of the stroke? Or ball joints reaching the end of their range? I had a similar issue where I think my ADS shocks were topping out, or coulda been my ball joints maxing out. Mine was like a muted thunk, not quite a metal to metal clank, but enough to get my attention.I never dug hard to find the source on my 2nd gen set up. Although my issue would only present itself during quick full droop scenarios, such as bouncing through whoops, or quick drop offs. But I didn't add any additional preload to how they came.

that's a good suggestion too. Limit straps have been mentioned about 100 times in this thread for that exact reason haha:rofl:

Should i have them softer or firmer as well? I have 650lb springs with roughly 2” lift and notches turned as soft as you can go

As others have mentioned, it could be topping out. And having the clickers at 0 would make that easier to happen. Increase the compression to 10 to see what effect (besides stiffening the ride) that has on the noise you are hearing.

2" of lift shouldn't be too much but you have definitely changed where you are in the shock's stroke at ride height.
