What's the best way to attach Quick Fist clamps to molle panels in side truck bed?

Not that big of a deal to slip a wrench back there. Or you could use these: https://builtrightind.com/products/molle-nuts-threaded-molle-pals-fastener

Stick a wrench behind the panel?

Depending on how many panels you may have mounted…the panels I have are 2 per side (DCSB: 5foot bed). 2panels per side butt up together essentially making single 5 foot panel.

I really like the idea but have doubts if this is a workable solution.

Absolutely no issues here. Some of my things use the Molle nuts, most use a standard nut and washer. Just takes patience and a box end wrench.

Take the panel off and install your hardware. Do the same if you plan on weaving any MOLLE pouches to your panels. It’ll save you time, frustration, possibly some bloody knuckles.

If you don’t want to remove the panel to facilitate bolting hardware to it, use a box end wrench with electrical tape on one side of the opening and put your nut into the wrench. The tape will hold it in place and keep it from falling through the other side as you fish it onto the bolt behind the MOLLE panel. I’ve done both ways dozens of times.

I’ve also mentioned in several prior posts about using Kolpin Rhino Grip Flex mounts instead of Quick Fist. Personally, I consider the QF stuff sloppy, floppy, fragile garbage. I’ve had QF rubber straps rip literally the first time I’ve cinched them down to hold tightly. Kolpin is of significantly higher quality. In this photo you can see my axe & shovel secured together as if they were one tool in a pair of Kolpin 3” Rhino Grip Flex mounts. Most folks running QF require two mounts per tool, which can take up precious space.
