But what are your thoughts on it? Seem like a better solution than Dakars/Deavers? You know anyone that tows stuff around every so often with not so much in the bed?
    Seems like that's the case.

All about what you want to accomplish. He doesn't want the little sag while towing. Aal and bags or sumo seams the cheapest easiest way I can think of.
Yes, Dakars will be harsh with empty bed by comparison. My .02

If constant load, leafs if not...bags and sumo springs. I always have a cap and tools and miscellaneous stuff in the bed so dakars for me

I’m usually empty but just upgraded or pop up to a TT. I’m just waiting to pull the trigger until after winter when I buy the truck out of my lease to throw some airlift in, no compressor. Probably just going to do a stand-alone system at some point. Now I’ve gotta look at sumo springs! More research.

Also a good weight distribution hitch will help a lot for towing.

Just picked the camper up a couple weeks ago. Coming home empty with the WD hitch I was riding even, completely dry/empty and it towed well. Took the back roads to see how she handled with some curves/hills. Definitely new it was back there but I was pleasantly surprised. As mentioned bags are in the future but also plan on additional transmission cooler and some sort of monitor for transmission temps.

I need that for just daily driving sometimes... My scangauge says my trans temps are north of 200 degrees during the summer and that's without towing....

Small stuff but not for long!
So I feel like I should give more background. The truck isnt a daily (more of a princess as it sits in a heated garage on blocks to not spot the tires) In the summer it does get more use towing the boat. Boat is a 17" Whaler 2500ish lbs. I kinda agree more with @JanBoothius on this one that anything worth doing is worth doing right espcially when the truck gets used it does have weight in the back..... junk in the trunk if you will...

First items up on the "I'm moving and need to part with sh*t since I traded in my tacoma" dump. Forgot I still have my aluminum 2nd gen skid floating around. 30$ takes it. Second is a bummer for me. Ordered the custom decal below and it came right before our baby arrived so between that and work and weather never got to put it on the truck. 35$ takes it (had it made for by a member here for 75 I believe so I value this more than a 10 y.o. skid plate). I also have a HF hitch extender that I need to get pics of. Planning for like 30$? I think new they run 65-70. Going to offer it up to my dad also so if pics never make it that means he took it!

Local pick up only. I'll be making the drive to Charlotte next week so maaaaaaybe willing to meet you on the way but I don't plan on going way off route to meet you.

    Enjoy!

Have 4 of these 16" that I'd used as winter wheels. Lug nuts included, no sensors or center caps. I'm east of Hartford two minutes off I-84.
Hate to just toss them if somebody can use them.

Looking for a set of 2nd gen short bed OEM bed rail caps. Preferably in 'new' or good condition.

Figure someone in here might have a set kicking around after they upgraded to metal caps.
