When you open the tailgate there should be a harness running from the bed into the tailgate on the passenger side.

Are you unsure if you have a backup camera? Should be pretty obvious if you do or not - it should make itself known on your head unit anytime you put your vehicle in reverse...

Sure, I'll throw you a bone. I guess I'm surprised someone wouldn't know where the wiring harnesses for a wired piece of electronics would be - one at the input end, one at the output end. IE - one at the head unit, one at the camera in the tailgate

Slow down there stud, don't get your tutu in a wad. Apparently I was under the impression most people understand where wiring harnesses usually reside, especially for something like a camera.

If it helps you calm down, I was going to help the guy figure it out.

My 2009 came with the camera and harness from the factory. But it didn't come with the mirror display, and the radio was old school... no display screen. So the camera was dead weight until years later when I replaced the HU with one that had a display.

OP, not sure if you have an OEM radio with an OEM tailgate camera but keep in mind that the OEM camera is not an easy plug-n-play with any aftermarket radio. The OEM tailgate camera uses 6V, not the typical 12V of aftermarket cameras and HUs.

^^ what they-all said... but just to note, if you're going to stray from an OEM camera, there was a voltage change somewhere around '13, so buy carefully. (For what it's worth, the OEM cam is pretty darn nice with my stock screeny head unit.)
