Different countries. The 3rd gen 4runners are made in Japan, 1st gen Tacomas are made in California. I'm sure the aftermarket heater cores are made in china unfortunately.

It's all good Brother. I've just been off and on (mostly off) the forum lately and thought I missed it. I think we have another dispatcher here in the thread. Pikesville is right around the corner from everything. Glad to have you onboard.:hattip:

When I was your age I went to 42" tires on my Bronco. Why stop at that though, especially since there's this bad boy! A 58" DOT approved off road tire. Add the 24" wheels and you're looking at about 300# per corner!!!!!!

To be able to run 40s id have to run AEV fenders that cost about $1800...which is absurd for some plastic fenders in my opinion lol

Morning all, and Happy Veteran's Day to my brothers and sisters in arms who have served or are currently serving.

In other news, I'm about to go watch the Rockefeller Center Xmas tree get cut down.

It ain't Friday yet dipshit! And how dare you compare us to that NoVA thread. We're cooler x10. Even the SoVA guys dislike you.

And besides, weren't you supposed to move?

Hey, don't talk the talk unless you are gonna walk the walk! :boink:

Just remove the fenders. They'll be useless anyway at that point.

This. The aftermarket box has 'made in chiner' all over it. I found some Viton O-rings from Napper that fit the pipe nipple really well and compressed into the flange on the heater core pretty well, I felt like it was making a nice solid seal. Toyota had no listing for the o-ring. The trip to Forest Hill Auto+plus to try fitting a Taco heater core was a waste of time- the Taco heater core was about 1/4" thicker so it wouldn't nest into the HVAC housing and the pipe locations were off by about 1/2", so no go on fitting a Taco heater core. It would have been nice as the Taco heater core was made of copper and it was fully soldered.

I will be going outside after my noon Zoom interview and try to get this piggy put back together.

4th Zoom meeting, not as well as the other 3. It will be weeks before I hear anything back from the yellow and black power tool makers on a offer. I have another interview at a company in Frederick tomorrow morning, so I'm hoping that one of these 2 prospects pans out. Heater core update- the HVAC box is back in, the steel cross bar is back in. The plastic HVAC duct work is drying.. They had so much black crud inside ( cigar ash from PO ), the water came out almost black when I cleaned them in the utility sink. After I get back from the interview tomorrow, I will get back on the job and finish it up. Mostly. I need a new center bezel trim, mine broke off the upper locking pins (and of course it's the '99 Limited lighter woodgrain color, the ones from the 2000-2002 Limited's are a different shade) and I want to install a double din stereo with some bluet toof features.

Wrap it all. I bet you could get a kit off ebay relatively cheap. :notsure:
