What rattlecan brand has held up well on the wheels you repainted?

Duplicolor wheel paint. You still need to do good prep, primer, etc. I've got it on aluminum slotted mags on the rock crawler (nothing really holds up to rocks, but touch up is fine) and now on factory Tacoma alloys.

See my previous post above. I did not tape off my tires but you can if you wish.

I did mine on my old T-100. Just clean them, hit them with some Scotch Brite, tape them off then hit them with the rattle can. Using the spray can, you can touch them up in a few years if needed.

I did it; really easy before you get the tires installed.

First picture is after I cleaned old paint off. Second picture is after a few coats.

    workin' on it.
I really like this color and great job on these! I want the same! You mentioned "Etch prime em next. 2 coats." I have a couple questions if you have a minute.

Link to paint, which looks to be:
    https://www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-HWP102-Graphite-Performance-coating/dp/B06Y6HMH92/

    1. Did you use the Duplicolor VHT FP101 Gray 11 Ounce Scratch Sandable Filler/Primer (https://www.amazon.com/Dupli-Color-EFP101007-General-Purpose-Sandable/dp/B000B6DG7C/)? Or what primer?

    2. Did you use a gloss coat or two after the paint, or leave that as is? Duplicolor also makes a gloss, but I really like what you did and want to do the same method. Sounds like you didnt use a gloss?

    3. How many 12 oz cans of of Graphite did you use for 4 coats for 4 wheels?

    Thanks much,
    Johnny

Just reading through this. A tip for everyone, go to a dollar store and go into the school supplies isle. Buy a stack of index cards (flash cards) and use those to mask your wheels. Slip them between the wheel and the tire and stack them all around. No tape needed. I've done probably 6-7 sets of tires like this and you can re-use the cards. They always turn out great.

This is currently in my garage. Half sanded half primed winter setup for my wife... kinda look like weathered military wheels..
