Blue Crush Metallic Thread

I think the black on black above looks pretty clean, but bronze with that color is pretty intriguing … It would be harder to pull off but it would be striking if done well! I say fortune favors the bold!!!

 

This reminded me of something that would come out of Rick and Morty … Glory to Glorzo

 

Well.... I chickened out on the bronze and ordered a set of VTX Rogues in gunmetal. Still may look bad, but we'll see when they come in. By the way, yota mafia has them on sale in the 16" version with a lugs included (for the weekend) for satin black/gunmetal for 159.00 a rim.

 

I think the gunmetal will look good.

Bronze would look fine, I think, but I think it would be too "much." But I don't like to be too fancy.

My wife has something like that on her 4Runner. Fuel Beasts. They're bronze but with a dark tint. They're pretty cool and definitely not too flashy.

Those SCS would be similar and probably look awesome.

I really, really looked at SCS rims in dark bronze or gunmetal.... And I'd buy them if I could find them. I think their quality and finish are the best around. But, I liked the fact the VTX Rogue SLs' didn't have the bead lock look to catch mud, water, or water that freezes in that area. That's the main reason I went with that rim. On a side note, I'm not a big fan of the 5 spoke or 6 spoke rims on stock trucks. Looks great on lifted rigs with big tires, but I trade every 4 years for work, so all the lifts/etc... are wasted on me. Unless I win the lottery. Then its 35s and armor all around. Love that Blue... That'd be sweet on a trophy truck.

 

And... I read through the shit storm thread that is VTX. Holy smokes.... Sorry SCS!

 

I like the gunmetal but I went with the TRD sema matte gray. The gunmetal was a little too shiny for my personal taste, never been a huge fan of black wheels, and the matte gray was a perfect balance, again for my personal taste.

Too purple for my taste.

 

Which is why I’m waiting 3 more months for my lunar rock.

 

I go back and forth with it. It's neat to have something different than everyone else, but I'd swap those tail lights out. The Goodyear wrangler tires must be a new design. The sidewall looks different.

The sidewalls have a more aggressive look/pattern but the tread is the same

 

I feel like a nightshade edition in blue crush would look pretty sick

 

I'm picking up my silver SR5 this week and the Toyota dealership has a blue crush Tacoma (TRD Sport) on the lot. I'll see it in person it's it's not gone by then.
