Best place to buy a refurbished MacBook?

Amazon/ebay seem to have a high value prospect to ripoff potential correlation

    I have been checking occasionally

I guess I should lower my standards or raise my price range. I was hoping for 16gb of ram, 2018 or newer for less than $1k...

that said, anything is an improvement lmao

I can say I have a 2018 for work and I carry around a Keychron K2 because the MBP keyboard is dogshit. Tons of dropped presses and double/triple presses that making coding a PITA.

I have heard the M1 keyboard is better but I haven't touched one yet.

What if I told you you could have an upgrade and a downgrade at the same time...

My Air has the awful butterfly keyboard. Misses some keystrokes and doubles others.

I have a 2020 Pro (the last of the Intel models) and the keyboard is significantly better. I'd have gladly paid extra to not have the touch bar, though.

I hear you, the touch bar is such a gimmick IMO

Do you use an alternate keyboard? I was using one of the apple ones but some jackass stole mine off my desk at work while I was WFH

Nah, I'm one of those freaks that actually uses laptop screens and keyboards. I do have a nice Logitech Bluetooth trackball, though.

The Macbooks are for home use. For work I've got a monstrosity of a Dell (Precision mobile workstation with 8 cores and 64gb RAM that doubles as a boat anchor). I do have a monitor and keyboard for that, but they're nothing special.
