Let me know if you guys plan something. I like driving, and meeting other Toyota nerds. I won't crash your whole party. But, I could meet you somewhere for a soda. :)

Just looked at their stuff and seems like a solid company! I was about to get some bed stiffeners from Total Chaos since I plan on camping in the bed but the Victory 4x4s are less expensive and still look decent quality. The Total Chaos go higher up the bed could be unnecessary. Decisions...

Bed accessories I MIGHT have an interest in. For a roof rack I'm gonna go for the Uptop. I like the looks of it better. Also all the other ones are literally the same exact design

We'll see if we plan something sometime soon (hopefully soon). I only have a week of vacation so I need to use it sparingly

5 weeks would be awesome! Then I could spend an entire month in Florida every winter!

It sounds like your employer wants happy employees!

    True facts!

I think I need to stay for 50 years and donate a kidney to someone in my boss's family to get 4. It's a down side of working in the trades. The advantage is... umm... Uhhh... Hmmmm... Yup

There's absolutely no advantage in what I do. The more you know the more they take advantage of you and you don't get a raise of any sort for knowing multiple jobs or machines. And the "incentive" program is damn joke, at most I might get an extra $50-75 a month. There's no future in manufacturing whatsoever, just a damn near crippled body

    Sounds shitty!

I encourage young people to stay out of the trades. Some are OK, though. I have gotten to do and see some interesting things, I suppose.

I’m 27 and I’ve been in multiple trades. I hated every one. I started bartending and making just as much money providing people with happy memories and it’s actually rewarding. I’m currently finishing my business management degree but don’t know if I will be able to leave the money I make bartending. It’s not like I’m wealthy, but I have everything I need and some things I want like my Tacoma. Jobs are weird.

    I appreciate a good bartender!

There ars 2 guys who work at Joey Gerard's in Greendale who make excellent cocktails! I always look forward to a drink whenever I go there.

I enjoy making cocktails as well. Old fashioneds, Mojitos, a few others. It can be a project sometimes, but a good cocktail is tough to beat! :)

    Where do you work?

Me and some other people tell new hires to GTFO. I'm gonna start looking for a new job by the end of the year or wait until after Shamrock Shakedown down at Windrock Park

Hah well.... It's the only thing we have going for us. Turnover isn't huge though.... Because we have no new hires. Nearing 40% manpower shortage going into winter.

Oh, and it's DoT work. You know, keep the bridges from breaking, snow and ice removal, storm cleanup and flood mitigation, that sort of thing.

Our uh.... New hires make 4 weeks their first year. Hourly accrual, but still.... Adds up nicely. Plus 11 paid holidays. But damn is the money tight and the work unforgiving

That is my mission. I train new guys on as much equipment as I can quickly, then tell them to GTFO (or rather, encourage them to apply elsewhere while I'm training them so they have better skills to take with them)

    Jobs are weird.
