Just wanted to report that using Turtle Wax Ceramic Hybrid on the Lomax cover works awesome. Even though it’s a rough texture, it leaves no residue and is easy to spray on/wipe down.

We were out SUV shopping for her and ran across this Taco at the Chevrolet dealership. She ended up getting a 2016 Tahoe LT Police Edition

What is a police edition? Is it just a previously own police car?

I took my 2016 TRD Sport in for 65K miles service. I had the dealer do complete service on Auto Trans. WOW, the truck drives and shifts smoother than ever. The driving experience is better every day.

Installed the "Rock block whatever its called" tailgate seal. It was pretty easy, even with my ocd prep work, it only took about 30 minutes. Hopefully its still on today.20211111_151955.jpg 20211111_152410.jpg

If anyone was curious, i do have the snail armor tailgate insert, but also have a rubber cover over that. I wanted something with a little give to it in case i was kneeling on it.

Ordered the Mountain Hatch tailgate insert yesterday using their Black November discount code. At $250 the price is ridiculous for what it accomplishes and it’s still ridiculous at $200 w/ the discount, but I’m sick of spilling drinks and torquing kneecaps. Zero plans to dice onions or chop carne asada on the ‘food grade’ tailgate, but it will definitely improve on the OEM insert. I’ll likely add grip tape to it too so I won’t iceskate right off of it when loading motos. I only wish it had deeper cupholders like the Trailgate insert. Had the Trailgate been composite rather than metal, I would’ve bought it instead. Seems to me a powdercoated metal insert would be scratched & scraped up immediately. Composite made more sense to me.

Trying to figure out where to put these beauties.... I know most people put them on their roofs. Any other spots that are popular?

I finally got my BillieBars installed yesterday after sundown. I really like the quality of the these bars. Lots of options to install different items on the truck bed area.

The radio is a Midland MXT275 GMRS radio.

I added an RJ45 jack from AirOnBoard so I can just run the mic straight to the dash and disconnect as needed. The main box is small and hidden behind dash. I also got a stealth antenna, longer cabling and ran it up the drivers side windshield. I hid the cable with KC HiLites universal wire holder and it hides it pretty good against the windshield trim. 99% of people don’t even realize it’s there.

the antenna is mounted via Jeep Wrangler left side fender mount on my rack.
