NEED HELP PICKING THE RIGHT alternator FOR MY TRUCK

    I always get my alt., starters re-built by a reputable shop in the area, that way you can keep your own core and you know it'll fit. Never had nothing but good luck.

    Yes it does.
    I did this years ago. There is a 'plug & play' wiring adapter that your OEM plug plugs into then onto the alternator.

    Changed mine in the dark in an Autozone parking lot in Albuquerque with my wife holding the flashlight. I was lucky it burnt out NOT in the sticks. I was driving from Dallas to Moab.

    It's pretty simple aside from figuring out the tensioner on the bottom, once it's out you get a good look at how it all works and helps with reassembly.
