There are too many variables affecting height, so that doesn't really matter. Length and width I can believe, and it looks bigger visually, almost as if it were meant to. :notsure:

I'm not afraid of them for the same reason i'm disappointed in them, and oddly enough the reason I like them:

There's been very little progress in their engineering. They're just as reliable and basic as they ever were. Almost literally the same i4 as 20 years ago, same basic frame and cab as last gen, same braking system as the Clinton era, etc.

I didnt say they were, I said they are trying to make them luxury with adding all these options that use to be a dealership addon in the factory. This is a mid size truck that can go upwards of $40,000+...

You are upset because my comment was spot on ?
Here let me explain to you, everything Toyota makes in US or Mexico is garbage now. They Only Toyota quality left is in Japan designed and manufactured vehicle.
Its quite stupid to buy US designed and made vehicle right after you got lucky and your frame was replaced.
    Hence my comment.
Buy 4runner, buy Land Cruiser. Stay the F away from any US or Mexico designed & made Toyota, clearly there is some major problem in Toyota Motor US. Maybe folks from Japan can come and knock some sense to group here.
Or better yet get rid of stupid Seatbelt bracket Mike, re-design Tacoma in Japan and produce along side of Hilux.

Nice that you can make comments like that, but you're dead wrong!
My '15 out of Mexico, has given me no trouble, a little diff noise that was fixed free under a tsb!
You only come on TW to talk constant shit about Tacomas, a little advise for you, if you're that unhappy, sell it and move on!
You at this point are probably the most ignored member on TW because of your constant shit talking!
Your arguements are stupid and juvenile!
Move on, shut up, or GTFO!

This is not an existing Lexus 3.5. It's a brand new engine not used in any vehicle before.

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure it's gonna be just fine for you. That extra horse power is only there at peak RPM (around 5k) so unless you're punching it off the line or passing someone you're not tapping into these extra horses.. on the highway you cruise around 2k rpm or less and that engine is in Eco mode. Off roading will not see those extra horses or torque either.
Btw your link is just a Google search for "Lexus 3.5 engine"..

Oh right.. resurrect old controversial threads, crack a beer, and watch... 'cause you know most ppl will miss the date in the OP.

Carry on, it's Friday, and the sun is over the yard arm.

    Cheers!

If we do not learn from the past, we are doomed to repeat it?

Also, I personally find it interesting how opinions change, facts reveal themselves, time moves on, and I think the OP made a solid post to begin with. He even mentions the coming 4G taco.
