What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Wow, what a memory. I worked at the Air Combat Command’s Command Center at Langley AFB and was on shift the night I got the call from the Barksdale wing commander saying “I found something Minot lost and I need the General on the phone now.” What a night that was.

 

The question is...Did you earn them??

 

finally had time yesterday to install these SS3 fog lights on my Taco. So far im liking them when i drove at night. It is brighter than the stock lights and not too overly expensive.

LOL... I drove two of them and the others in my buddy's Jeep

 

Stuck a couple things together as best as I could.

 

Now this is a tragedy.

We absolutely used to wrap burritos in aluminum foil and stuff them in our engine bays for them to be warmed through after a trip out to a launch facility or launch control facility. My life without engine bay burritos would be incomplete. They were our go-to food when we were carrying classified equipment because stops of any kind were a giant no-no while doing so.

 

thats what we did, too. But when heating said burrito, using an 85 Dodge Ram pickup was probably not the best choice for a heating element. Turns out they had a horrible track record for engine fires. Lol

Plus, you know….not the best vehicle to have near ”priority” resources.

Just did the second coat of turtle wax ceramic coat. Before the weather turns sour. Got to take the old truck out for a ride. Before they start salting the roads next week. Snow in the forecast. Really sucks. Probably going to be five months before can you take to the roads again. With the old Ride. But that is where I live.

Truth be told though, our warhorse pickup was good ol’ serial number 2810- an absolute immortal beast of a truck that devoured any task given it. That SOB is legendary in the hallowed halls of 20th Air Force, the 91st Missile Wing, and 91st VECF.

 

How are you liking the Havoc running boards...? I'm about to pull the trigger on some as they are the look I'm going for.
I ordered some Armordillo boards and the order was just cancelled... back ordered forever.

 

Same conclusion after installing my SS3 fogs a few months back. They throw more light the OEM halogen lights, and I've got the sports.

yep. This the creation of the infamous Peacekeepers. A Dodge Ram pickup overloaded with solid steel body. Biggest pieces of crap ever invented and accepted for military service. Can’t count the number of roll overs we had in those things. Plus nowhere to secure ammo cans or A-bags. It was like being a bean in a giant maracas.
