    Here's the 1/2 inch spacer:

    I put back the original 3 (3/8 washers) but the 1/2 inch seems flusher than the 3/8 + 1/4 inch spacers which bows just a tad.

    The security bolts contents plus the spacers provided separately.

    I had to use my HF ramps since the Auto Hobby shop on base was closed for Veterans Day.

    Just to review...

    #1 The 1/2 inch spacer will suffice for the 3 (3/8 inch washers I used) better than the 1/4 + 3/8 inch.

    #2 The 1/4 + 3/8 inch spacers creates a bend/bow meaning it is not flush.

    Soooo,

    I am surmising your suggestion of #1 being the better fit with the 1/4 inch plate.

    Are you suggesting a 1/2 inch Talon plate from the 1/4 inch you are currently building? (BOLD letters above)

    Otherwise,

    my suggestion is the 1/2 inch spacer which closely matches the 3 (3/8 washers for thickness) with the 1/4 inch Talon Plate as the preferred match.

    This does not take into consideration adding a TRD Pro skid plate which is sandwiched below the Talon plate so shouldn't make a difference with the 1/2 inch spacer.

    What I am saying, is I would buy a 1/2” sheet of aluminum, and cut out a bunch of washers/spacers to include in the kit to replace the 1/4” spacers I currently have.

    The skid plate itself would still be 1/4”.

    Ya, would be nice if it was level/joined, but since I only occasional off-road at easy levels (no rock gardens), easy to live with IMO to protect the cats.

    Might not be the best idea. They'd already be pissed because they couldn't get to it, at least they'd just move to the next car... this screams "sabotage me". Next thing you know, all your brake lines are cut.
