I had been using Mobil1 up until the last oil change then switched to Kirkland OW20. Looks like the lab results are good and you can't beat the price.

The warehouse is much cheaper, like $32. The online price includes shipping.

This had me pull my factory calipers out of the shed to measure the pad thickness. All four pads were down to 4-5mm. As shown in the FSM, the new pad thickness is 11.5mm and the replacement limit is 1.0mm, so I had about 30% pad life remaining after 28000km:

Interesting, my first set lasted me 60,000 kms as I remember but I was strictly on P rated tires at that time. Guess they do use semi-metallic pads on trucks expecting most to run 31s P rated tires.

30% left at 28k suggests 40k total life. still pretty low huh.

By contrast though I just changed the pads at 91lk on my 2017. Mine is a daily driver with p rated tires and not a lot of weight added.

Yep compare that to the factory pads in my previous 2010 (also AT, similar weight, similar usage): 5.5mm pad thickness or 43% life remaining at 79,000 km. I thought the 2010 factory pads were ceramic, not sure.

Anyway, just data for shooting the shit. The Advics pads costed me $58 and will last me years. I spent $158 in fuel on one Ardbeg trip last month. Puts things in perspective.

@Shveet Thank you sooooo much for the heads up on this switch bank. It feels so good when you flick them on and off. Nice solid CLICK.

Also we disabled the TPMS dash display light :bananadance: and I put a blank plate in the 4hi 4lo switch location.
