Anyone have novel ideas to keep me from chopping my ears off. Have tried everything from superlube to WD40/flomoly. Have them apart right now to powdercoat coilovers so looking for any other suggestions. Everyone gives me weird looks on the road haha!

any pitting on the sleeves? is the noise from the bushing rotating on the sleeve or the bushing on the cam tabs? Had a rear pivot on a car with a similar sound and it was the face of the bushing making noise on the frame tabs. Greased the bushing faces against the frame tabs and the noise went away.

Mine are, but they also don't need to be greased. heres what a few guys say about delrin. https://www.race-dezert.com/forum/threads/lubricating-delrin.20892/ But in general no Delrin is a polymer desinged to not require grease but it is noisier, at least for me they squeak a bit but i don't really mind since everything else on my truck does as well...lol

Mine was sounding like that as well, creaked at any movement at all, drove me NUTS. Puled everything apart, cleaned it and was even replacing bushings thinking that was the issue (was not). Finally bought some Energy Suspension Formula 5, which is SUPER tacky grease, and now everything is silent! Also, from my understanding make sure you only coat the inner sleeve area of the bushing, not the outside where it meets the arm (they should stick to the arm/move with it)

I would recommend pulling the arm off and inspecting the bushings and sleeves for damage. We exclusively use Prothane Super grease, DM or email me your info and I can send you out a few packs today at no charge ngardner@dirtkingfabrication.com

You guys are awesome, thanks. We only have a few days on the lift so will try to source super grease locally but I appreciate the offer. We are installing cam tab gussets from DK so will inspect for damage. Thanks for all the feedback

No problem at all if you end up needing some let me know, you could also snag a tube off Amazon fairly quickly. Make sure the face of the bushing where it contacts the frame has plenty applied as well as the outside of the inner bushing sleeve and you should be squeak free

Best mod ever is an actual daily. Trailer and tow pig are second.

I ended up just buying a tow rig that i like so much i daily it...lol. I tried buying a 2000 4runner to daily but the tacoma was still nicer to drive so i really never drove the 4runner then sold it to buy a 2020 ram 2500.

see that's my predicament... why did I build a Pro 3rd gen, now the creature comforts are lost as I sure as hell can't afford that and a new truck!

I see this happening with a few of my friends here who built third gens. Now they’re all envious of my setup of an older truck just for fun and a newer truck as a daily driver.

Best mod I did and I haul the XJ with the taco and straight send the XJ. Now I'm looking for a bigger tow pig and bigger trailer to haul the taco and XJ on trips
