IMO 5.29s will be great if you off-road a lot, but will suck for daily driving, especially highway. If it is a daily, I would personally would go with 4.88 with the MT.

Don’t the manuals already come with a 4.30 ratio? 4.88 doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade

How have you found the 4.88’s in the MT? Was it a worthwhile upgrade? I’m doing 34’s next week and am considering a regear to pair with my OVTune. I don’t off-road much, and care more about a “fun” drive. Going to road trip from Alberta Canada to South Utah in 2022 and would prefer a more comfortable highway experience (engine noise is fun and all, but at some point an audiobook will come in handy haha). What’s your cruising RPM at 75mph with the 4.88’s?

    4.88/4.3 = 1.13
    35/31 = 1.13

    Effectively stock gearing.

Just to clarify, you are saying that 4,88's with 34" tires will feel (RPM wise) similar to stock? Forgive me ignorance, I'm a CPA and I couldn't mechanic my way out of an empty room. haha

With 315/70r17's and 4.88's 75 is about 2700 rpm or so.

Thanks! With 295/75/16 I can probably expect a little higher then. That’s super helpful.
