You could think of it that way.

But rather than spoof the position of the accelerator pedal to get the ECU to ultimately open the throttle more, I recalibrate the relationship between pedal and throttle within the ECU.

But the "effect" is the same. Some folks like more, others like less. I like to provide those options :)

I don't remember who it was, but someone got that ebay fan controller. Does anyone know who that was? I'm thinking of putting in an electric fan while while I'm doing the engine.

@rheath08 I'm using derale pwm if that's an option worth considering. Found one on OfferUp for 40 bucks. Been problem free for a year already. I'd probably stick to a well known brand over eBay no name since it's such a critical component to running an e fan.

Yah it is. Just went current, spicy with +th then spicy with ++th. The current to spicy was a huge difference. + to ++th not as much between the 2 but its def touchier.

@JustDSM updated fuel maps def took the lab I was feeling away. Still HAF but def a big improvement.

Now if I can get the driveline shudder to go away on launch it would feel pretty damn good.

I felt a couples on full throttle when I got around 80 the truck didnt seem to go faster almost like it was going but not pushing. Would this be indicator of the Fuel pump or MAF? Whats the max V the MAF will go to on our trucks? I do need to swap my fuel pump and wouldnt be suprised if that was the cause. Also have the FJ MAF when i start to max it out. I recall it was closer to 5 but knokw I was getting mid to high 4.xx's.

My Hypetech works (well, it doesn't trigger the Check Engine light) but I am still about 5 off at 70.

I figured out how they were determining the "calibration" number (based on tire size and gear ratio), but the base one did not work. I have tweaked the number, and got closer to actual, but it is still off.

I've been meaning to call them and talk about this issue, but that was 2 years ago.....

Drove another 60 miles on the new "+ Thr" tune last night. I like the feel when accelerating hard and cruising along, but I'm still getting used to the increased throttle sensitivity on takeoff from a stop.

Can make you a blend of the standard and "+" variant to give it a little less down low but still have the go in part throttle areas.

Thanks, Justin! To be clear, I'm still getting used to it primarily because of the throttle and clutch interaction from a stop. It's the only thing I find myself still "getting to know." I'm not interested in making work for you, but I'm happy to try the "blend" you describe.

Different topic - I note your "'21 Jeep Wrangler (2dr) Rubicon V6 6-Spd" sig block. Did you take a page from @crashnburn80, and switch to the dark side? (Apologies if I missed an announcement.)

So I got a afe intake and the fit with the s/c is really tight and deforms the box a little bit but I feel like it makes the box not airtight. Any tips on how to fix that? 20211114_102544.jpg 20211114_102542.jpg 20211114_102539.jpg

I did make the switch. I know.. I know..

Didn't make an announcement but I've long wanted one and the fact I got 25K for trade on my truck made the deal even sweeter. Custom ordered the Jeep exactly to my liking and they were actually happy to do it at a "discount" so I wouldn't take something off the lot.. Crazy times.

My loyalties are still with this camp.

Trim the intake tube at the throttle body end a touch to shorten the tube and relieve that pressure on the airbox.

Same boat last year and also custom ordered my JT Mojave to get exactly what I wanted. Definitely look at the 440hp Magnuson blower, the power is amazing though the default tune could use refinement in the low end. Build thread here, though admittedly not as well organized as my others and could use updating on the OP. The truck is now on the just released ultra light OEM Raptor 37 KO2s.

Also despite selling the Tacoma and driving the JT, my loyalties are still here as well.

I’ve thought buying a 3rd gen and putting a Procharger on it but also keeping my current truck.
