yeah, a dark discoloration can be caused by a dying or rotten tooth but the stain would be coming from deep in the teeth, where the pulp is. I don't think it would be that superficial and look like someone doodled on the tooth with a lead pencil. It's like an external stain. Very strange.. Anyway, I'll go to the vet to investigate...

 

Agree...the vet should see it. It might be causing pain.

I sprinkled a bit of cat nip that came with it into the floor, they were digging it . Thanks on the flooring, it is an engineered hardwood that I put in as soon as I moved in here. I'm very happy with the color and wear (or lack thereof), it's much better than the fake vinyl hardwood floor that was in here when I bought the place

This makes me want to get a buddy for Zero. But then again, I remember how spoiled she is... She would probably hire the neighbors dog as a hitman.

 

That’s the thing with cats you never know if they’d consider another cat companionship or competition. Suki would much rather have us to herself while amos and Louisa enjoy each other company.

Working on the cat shelter again. I used leftover roofing materials from my garage roof job.
First I wrapped the corners with some ice and water shield.

Then I covered it with shingles. The shingles where wider than the box so I wrapped the corners with them.

Then I drilled a hole for the entrance.

Most information I found online said to use a 6" opening. I just happened to have a 6" hole saw.

I'm hoping the double wall of wood and the shingles will provide some insulating properties. When it's done I'll fill it with straw.
