That shining video was neat. 90% seems like it could be accurate.

The narrator calls out the chandelier missing in the lobby though and that was obviously done because it would've otherwise obstructed the shot.

But the production did very obviously use prop switches, and I doubt that was to add visual interest to the walls... So most of this theory tracks really well.

Plus Wendy displays characteristics of some of the psychos I've dated, so I'm a bit of a Jack Torrence myself.

Every fucking alarm is unplanned. If it's planned it's a drill and not an alarm. Doesn't matter what the cause that set it off was. What matters is that the system worked. A little history. Sometimes it takes a lot of dead kids for the system to work.
