So I spent close to 2 hrs this morning doing my taxes on the 1040 form. My co-worker came in and suggested a verify my final with the Turbo Tax App for Android on my phone. So you take a pic of your W2 and it loads all the info and spits the refund totals for both state and federal back to you. It came up to a 50 cent difference from what I came up with (because I didn't round and it did). You then fill out other info and you can e-file right from your phone (soo cool). It will cost like $15 to file, soo worth it.

Took maybe 5 minutes to download/install/take pic to get what my refund was. :D

That is cool! I found an app that is FREE you can estimate your tax refund. It is made by Turbo Tax called Tax Caster. You fill in the info & it shows you your refund. I haven't used it yet. I will do it this weekend. The reviews said it was dead on.

I still haven't got any of my paper work to file yet... Looking forward to actually getting a tax return this year, as all my previous years of working was under the table.

Saw that one to, but this SnapTax from Turbo Tax allows you to file. It is also free to use, you only pay when you are ready for it to file.

Turbo tax online is great! Been using for 6+ years. A couple of cool things the online product will do is: When you get to the point where it wants the info from last year it will import it from their secure servers. And another FREE feature they have is "It's Deductible". A website that allows you to put in all your donations (clothes & stuff). Then gives you the thrift store values of those items to use in your taxes. It also automatically will transfer the amount from It'sD to Turbo tax.

Snaptax won't work for me. It is for people that are basically doing the EZ filing. I have a home & other deductions.

Had to do mine through Turbotax online this year as I paid over $4000 in state taxes and got my return back in 6 days. That was 2 weeks ago.
