In other news. Google Pixel 6 is getting returned. It's a damn fine phone but the in-screen fingerprint reader is crap. It fails to unlock over 50% of the time. The issue is well documented with google and there are 2 open bug reports on it. Rumor is face unlock is going to make an appearance soon but I'm not waiting around for that. If they get it sorted I'll just buy the phone again. Bummed about it but my old phone still works fine. lol

It's a shame as it's otherwise a really great phone. It's fast as hell, battery life is amazing, photo's are as good as any phone on the market and it's got twice the RAM and storage of my old Pixel 3A XL. Just sucks that I can't unlock the damn thing 1/2 the time. lol

 

they do take fantastic photos. Couldn’t believe that some of his moon pics weren’t taken with a DSLR.
I am thoroughly impressed by the advances in camera tech the last couple years, especially in phones.
And drones are super cool too. Some of the cameras you can fly on a DJI are nuts.

I feel the same way about my 3A XL. I just really liked the specs and design of the 6. But, that fingerprint reader is a deal breaker.

My wife is actually more in need of a new phone then I am. She's far from a power user but likes a good camera. I'm deciding between the 5A 5G and the One+ 8. Both are about $400.
