Bought these speakers, do I need anything else for install? (w pics)

Bought these babies a while back, haven't had time to install. According to the Infinity website, they should be good to go. I have a 2001 DC. I don't want to tear the door apart only to find out I need pieces or the speakers won't work.

Do I have all the pieces to make this install happen? (besides the tools)

 

not much help if you need anything else but those speakers are awesome!!! your gonna love them, thats all i ever buy, had them in both my old trucks, in our boat and now in our trailer. it hits the highs really well too, nice and crisp

 

I'm debating whether to hit the little +3db switch on the tweeter? Once they are installed there is no going back

Thank you very much, I think this one post gave me t he confidence boost I need. Lord knows I wouldn't be very happy if I tore my door apart and the speakers don't fit.

 

I think at least a set of 3/4" speaker mounting adapters to install them.

 

Won't the black rings in picture 3 do the trick?

 

I just realized you have a 2001, which I haven't installed in. I looked up the size, which is 5 1/4" factory. Just guessing, but unless the bare metal hole is large enough to accommodate that 6 1/2" speaker, probably not. You will have to raise the speaker (specifically the flange) off the door panel to allow for the speaker to "drop in the hole". Or, you could make the hole bigger. Did you check for mounting depth clearances as well? Do you even have enough depth to mount it without an additional mounting ring?

That is where I went to check it out for you. Honestly, the best thing to do is wait for someone who has already done this chime in or go and pull a door panel off and take some specs.

 

Attempting this today, any tips are welcome!
