    Thoughts and prayers. I have learned from personal experience that elderly parents sometimes transform into stubborn adolescents, refusing to take advice from their grown children. It is, literally, a role reversal.

    28 degrees this morning, highs in the mid 30s later.
    Wife comes home today. She's been up by her folks since Saturday.
    I miss her.

    I've tried these before. I'd take 2 before going to work. Didn't work. Just made hungry for Fritos and Dr.Pepper



    Thoughts and prayers. I went though this 12 years ago last Friday with my dad, with the heart failure. Glad I got to see him and tell him, I love you, before he passed.


    We are going through this stubborn issue now with Mary's parents. Tring to get them to at least let someone come in and help with house cleaning and snowplowing. Brother in law brings up about them moving and all hell breaks loose. Wish we could do more but we live 200 miles away.

    That’s the last thing you should bring up (moving)
    Taking them away from their sanctuary is like a death sentence…
    Helping around the house I think at some point you would be able to get them to agree
    to. I’ve dealt with this stuff before and will very soon again.

    From what I know about U.S. weather, there is a general, and often, east-west divide. So, when it is quite below average in TN, then it is probably above temperature in MT. My friend lives in Colorado and we have discussed this often. By the way, today the predicted high where I live is 40. By Wednesday, it is supposed to be 66.
