im kinda old school. I dont use a buffer or any tools like that. I just apply it with an applicator and go around the whole truck (usually soaked after since I am in muggy Florida) and usually by the time I get all the way around i can start removing it with a soft microfiber towel.

Love that type of riding. Nice trails, great scenery, and looks like perfect weather. Great pics!!

Installed the OEM tailgate lock. Sure wish I had discovered the darn thing before coating everything with cosmoline.

Oh I will. This year I might actually have a friend to ice fish with too! My buddy is moving back to MN this winter, he spent all last year in Maine ice fishing while his wife made the big money.

Pull the trim piece out and use blue tape alongside the channel on the roof to mark where the bolt holes are on the tape. Put the trim piece back on and transfer your markings from the blue tape onto the trim piece.

Remove trim piece and flip it over, then put Sharpie marks roughly an inch outside from your where you marked your hole locations. Using dykes, snip through the metal spine on either side of your hole marks. Use a boxcutter to slide through the rubber and remove the channel piece of trim with metal spine that presses into the channel on the roof. This will leave you with just a thin piece of rubber between where you made your snips.

Use a 19mm hammer punch to make your holes. You risk damage if drilling. The punch is the quickest, cleanest method.

After assembling my Prinsu, I had it mounted in about 60 minutes from start to finish. The holes in the trim piece lined up dead solid perfect with the roof bolt holes. The Prinsu roof spacers then fit nice and snug into the trim piece holes, eliminating any chance of water intrusion(I still used silicone).

I used this method on my Tacoma & a buddy’s Tundra, and the results for both were so dead on that they look like a factory install.

Pro tip: to make it the cleanest possible, punch the hole from the top of the trim piece and use a piece of wood underneath so the punch has something to drive into. One solid hammer strike and you’re through in 2 seconds.

Punch is def the cleanest. I could find one anywhere locally, so ended using 3/4" drill bit for wood holes. Did not make the cleanest holes, but 99% you can't see once the spacers are in and the rack installed, so called it good.

Forgot to mention this too: run your bolts FULLY into the pre-drilled roof holes on the truck BEFORE you place the rack on the roof. Make sure to clear out any jacked up threads or debris. You don’t want any surprises when bolting the rack down.

nah...the pine needles are a sign of use!! Just like bruises and cuts are for Mountain/BMX riders...if there is not mud and blood, you didn't do it right!! All trucks need a little dirt on 'em

I am soooo jealous of all of that!!! Did you do any camping? Where is that?

If you have to ask then you might not need anything else. I’d wait until you have a moment you wish you had a piece of equipment and then base it off that. One thing I’ve noticed on tacomaworld is that a lot of people max out their trucks just for the hell of it, simply because the accessories exist. There’s nothing wrong with that, but also nothing wrong with enjoying your truck as it stands.

Some necessities for me were wheels/tires and a camper shell. I achieved that and now I’m on a break until I find a need for something based on the way I use my truck.

That said, my suggestion would be rock sliders or a nice roof rack depending on how you use your truck!

You're totally right, Truck is pretty good right now. Like I was looking at ditch lights but I'm not 100% sure even on those, since my new fog lights actually give me a decent spread.

I have sidesteps right now, so sliders have to wait until I could sell the steps. Rack is possible. looking at getting a canoe to take my little guy fishingat some of the lakes out in the back country more.
