Are you looking for advice on the vibration issue? If so, did you happen to do the ECGS clamshell mod? Replacing the needle bearing is typically a good place to start.

I’ve done the ECGS bushing. My current setup has no vibration. I was asking advice on if most use shims as well and if anyone has rear taco lean with the RXT and if they’ve resolved it by a 1/2” block or other means. My RXT should be here Wednesday and I plan to install next weekend.

The RXTs cancelled some of my lean, but an extra circlip location on the left from completely solved it for me.

The carrier bearing shims helped me with some light vibes.

Have never had vibrations with any level of load in option 2. Did all the measuring and held off buying shims. Glad because it was unneeded for my truck.

Hard to say from one truck to another, but yours sounds heavy so I doubt you’ll need them

So is it better to go with Option 2 right from the gate? I've read some people are unhappy with Option 1 or once the leaf pack settles they see that Option 1 has already completely flattened. I'm deciding between Option 1 and 2 and pretty torn between the two. Thank guys.

how often do you carry stuff in your bed? If its never option 1 might be right for you. if you do carry stuff from time to time then I would say go option 2 from the start and not tear them apart down the road.

I went option 2 right out of the gates because I frequently load up with camping gear and I have been super happy with my setup.

I went with option 2 because I already have a 2 inch front lift and I load up with camping gear every time I use the truck. It's not my daily driver but even with an empty bed I feel like it's a better ride than factory. I feel like it was a great choice. It was really high at first but it settled quickly for me. I did go on about a 250 mile drive loaded up for camping the same day I installed them so that helped them settle.

I’ve been on Option 1 for over a year and have carried many heavy loads.
It did settle a little but still has plenty of arch and maintained my rake.

What kind of lift are you guys seeing out back once Option 1 settles?

I'm on a 1" block out back right now, but I swear it has caused the stock leafs to sag a bit over the last few months. While my truck was level after putting on the lift, it is now just every so slightly droopy in the rear. I'd like to regain a half inch of rake.

I have a new rear bumper coming (20lbs over stock), and I commonly carry a OneUp bike rack (45lbs) + 30lb mountain bike.

I will be going hammer hangers in the near future as well. I thought I read somewhere that hammer hangers might cause you to lose a little lift.

So I just measured and I’m right at 23 1/2” so I’d say they settled about 3/4 to 1 inch.
That’s after a year of heavy loads,
Tools, lumber, firewood, sand, appliances and several off-road trips.

Getting Icon Stage 8 and am planning on going with option 2 on the leaf pack. As far as weight i've got a Snug Top canopy... how much lift in the back do you think after things settle? As far as i know the 2.5" remote res front coilovers factory height setting is around 2"... is that correct? Hoping for a rake of around 1.5" to 1.75".

I just installed stage 3 this weekend and went from 22.5" in the rear to 25". I have a snugtop topper and a RTT. But those numbers are without the tent at the moment. The ride is great though. Really happy with them for the money.

What i don't understand is some say they got 3" of lift at option 1... Icon says it should be around 1.875" unloaded. WTF? Maybe the difference is after they settled? :notsure:

Difference is after they settle. I was about 2.70" right after install. After 6 months and heavy loading I'm sitting at 1.25". I have a DCLB with about 100 lbs of constant weight.

So… I installed my Icon RXT leaf pack over the weekend. I did use the 1/2” spacer on the drivers side to compensate for taco lean, but now my Driver side is higher by over 1/2”. It even raised my front suspension height as well. I’m going to get some better measurements and hope that it just needs to settle, but the realist in me says I shouldn’t have installed that 1/2” spacer.

A 1/2in is a bit much, but how much fuel is in your tank? I'm a 1/4in high with 3/4 tank of fuel. I'm assuming that it is close to even with me in it. I'm alone in the Taco most of the time, so that works for me.

Your driver's side is higher both front and rear?

What is the rest of your suspension situation?

I am low on fuel, so I’ll check again on a full tank. My add a leaf setup before was 1/2” low on the drivers side and that’s what most people say the difference is. I may snatch that thing off of there since I’m on option 3, it may not even be needed on the heavy setup.
