    They certainly help resist rain from getting in. There are three slot cutouts on the inside of the box where the doors hinge, those will always be sort of an issue. But really, only when you submerge it which means you have bigger problems haha.

    True, but most thieves are lazy and opportunistic. We aim to deter them, not absolutely stop them. If you have a gold brick locked in your bed storage compartment and a thief knows it, they will eventually steal it given enough time.
