@1bad2k those 6112's are fatties haha. I had a hell of a time compressing the springs when I installed mine just because how fat the shock body is. What height settings did you go with?

Yeah they are stout! Lol. I went with #10 ds and #9 on ps. I didn't wanna max pre load them all the way. It rides pretty good imo, but I've only driven to chick-fil-a and back in it though. I had my dad run the jack while I was lining them up. It went surprisingly smooth for me, probably took about an hour each side from jacking it up to setting it back down.

02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.
Went to do a brake job on my Tacoma last night, found out one of my calipers was bad. After I put in my rackauto order I was laying under the truck and was trying to bang my front leafs back straight and noticed my main leaf was bent the wrong way.
    IMG_20211113_205204136.jpg
Turns out I cracked the main leaf on one of my last two trips out wheeling. Look closely by the plate
    IMG_20211113_205153160.jpg
So the trucks parked for a while, hopefully these leafs are in stock somewhere!!

    Few little things.

New brake pads, it was apparently time.

    00001 - 2021-11-13 - untitled.jpg

Picked up a few things. An inReach for some of the more remote trips that I do solo. Some relays for my Bussmann - I recently blew two somehow. And I finally broke down and bought an opener for the Scepter since I've split a couple of the wooden ones I'd been using to date.

    00002 - 2021-11-14 - untitled.jpg

Oh, and I relocated my front resis (moved the front bracket hole) again Monte @Blackdawg. Not sure it gave me any more clearance though. Looks like it'll still rub with stock backspacing and 255/85R16s.

Yeah, not any extra space in there.

Before Matt reconfigured my resi hoses, I did everything I could to get the mount itself as snug up against the frame as possible. I used a couple of rivnuts to help with that.

Not sure if some of your rubber skirting is between the mount and the frame, mine was. It helped a little when I removed it.

Huh interesting. I have never rubbed mine. I don't have stock backspacing though but its really not that far off from stock, must be just enough. Be curious with the new meats as they are wider than my 255s.

I think you have 5/16" less backspacing than he has. I'm pretty sure his wheels a 16x7 with +15mm offset.

Thanks, there is some skirt there; I liked that the bracket sort of "secured it even better" but I see where you're coming from, and I'll remove it.

Yeah, mine are 4.59" backspace, so pretty well sucked into the wheel wells - that was the point really, since I wanted to reduce mud. I think even 1/4" might allow them to clear except in super extreme conditions, 1/2" would probably be 100% good. Certainly my 3.5" backspace SCS' didn't rub ever, and I had the resis mounted on the outside of the frame horns!

I have my rubber skirt behind mine, and its those real thick ones someone sell on here not the OEM ones like you have. 1/4'' think rubber.

Should have kept the SCS's man..just needed to add some 01-04 flares..

64D8E0FA-143F-4C6A-880A-95C644337842.jpg Hi. I wanted to give a few updates. The lights on Taco questions a few back in thread. These are spider headlights. Wired the LED Into parking. Attempt at some pics, not easy to get photos. Attempt to show on park and then what lighting looks like with heads on from in cab, not best I’m sure but good and better than factory. 7148C761-5E9E-4984-8892-3E2B216AC80A.jpg

Here’s an interior pic. Updates include: infinity tweeters in door(find them..), then all in one pioneer amp and 8” subwoofer under driver seat and a Pioneer headunit with CarPlay, door speakers infinity replacing stock. Desertdoesit seat lifts on both(have a nice lift puts885435B4-1B38-45FA-B026-2C9BC53E2A65.jpg 28053320-032C-4BAB-B3C5-4AB6E966953F.jpg higher in cabin and easy visual over hood. Then the interior under floor board and behind seat lighting. Up next installing dynaliner and dynamat on flooring back panel and roof(both for sound reducing outside noise and better audio inside as well insulate better, also installing lighting in truck bed that auto on with tailgate and manual switch. This truck passed to me from Dad, it’s only got 150k so prepping to be around in 5 years to pass down to my son. Put some money into it, but it has some special memories. To bad I can’t share the sound, should have mentioned installed a deeper sound muffler as well. The little 4cyl Manual that could…ha. Will update with new pics next week.

Anyone rocking an RCI bed rack on a 5’ bed? Trying to see if the 52” one will fit. Measuring the bed and shell locations says it should, but this has all the makings of me thinking it will work and then completely overlook something.

I've always eyed the URD kit since it's far cheaper but wasn't sure how different it was.

Not today, but finished editing pics from my last trip today. Some favorites:

As much as I hate on my Dakars for carrying capacity, with a shock relocate they droop decent.

Not a bad time at all considering it's east coast wheeling on legal trails/roads. Getting harder and harder these days to find free legal wheeling on this coast.
