Excellent! Exactly what I was looking for. What camera did you use for the front?

Mucho gracias. I have a dilemma of having a swingout on my rear bumper I don't want to use all the time, but when I do the camera will be blocked. Trying to figure out a solution and the head unit having multiple input choices makes solving that problem much easier. Looks like I'll be reversing my anytime camera mod and simplifying my wiring

Just keep in mind the images you see on my screen are after the sergey firmware update so when you boot up your unit it will look different

Ok. I was planning on doing that too. Pretty straightforward?

Yes he sends very straightforward instructions with both facebook and utube videos. I figure if I can follow them anyone should be able to.

I did all my downloads on my mac inside and transferred them to a thumb drive and them went out with my tablet and watched his instructions on utube and followed what he did. It really wasn’t difficult at all.

There is no satellite antenna connection. You need to use the app.

So I have not been able to connect anything bluetooth except my phone to this unit, however I have been able to connect a wifi obd reader with an obd splitter to be able to use obd fusion to read other things such as trans temps and such. This is what I purchased to do this with.

Do you know if the Torque App works?

That I don’t know but I suppose you could email the company and find out. I went with obd fusion due to already having paid for the extras on my year tacoma for their app.

It does state it works with Torque pro and I believe that is the paid version for the Torque app from what I see on google play store, but reading it the app states it uses bluetooth so do your research before you buy.

Thanks for checking! I use Torque Pro and bluetooth odb, but also the HPTuner odb reader. I'll look into that wifi splitter.

Keep in mind its not a wifi splitter its an obd splitter the wifi is the obd reader. I went with this because 1) I couldn’t connect anything else bluetooth and 2) I wanted to retain the obd plug for the stereo as on my year tacoma I need it for the backup camera. My truck had the camera in the mirror originally and no trigger wire in the harness so I require it for the camera to work.

The OBD-II connector they sent with your unit is not a splitter also?

This is what mine looks like.

I would assume there are going to be some differences depending on the year and original head unit setup and all. I thought I was getting my reverse signal through the OBDII plug however I installed the camera source harness that gets it signal from a plug behind the coin tray in front of the fuse panel. The odd thing is when I unplug the OBDII I get no backup camera image at all. Not sure exactly why or how this is working to be honest. Maybe something to do with the sergey firmware update.

Oddly enough after I installed this unit my backup camera pic was full screen top to bottom. Since the sergey firmware update I now have an image of a car at the bottom with curved lines around the front and rear. I’m guessing that would be for someone with bumper sensors.

I wondering if the main difference is you have the JBL setup. I guess we can wait for more people to buy it and see what they get.
