No I had new plugs, filter, and gas. I think it had water from my douching it in the ignition. It wasnt firing the other day and it was still wet.

Like I say, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Glad you got away without having to pull the engine.

Either someone died, or it's "hot".

    I dunno?

I run into that kind of situation often.

I bought 6 Toro commercial units this last year and didn't spend more than $2k for any of them. They all were $10 k machines a dozen years ago. most needed nothing but a few $100's in parts and some time to make them good units.

I can't figure out why the owners don't want to invest in keeping them in service. I know I'm not complaining when I double my money.

Deals are out there, just have keep our eyes open and have the time to jump on them.

    Lol. Not really.

I had a burnt valve in Kohler last week. Yours looks a little worse.

Is the head eroded away by the exhaust valve on the second cylinder from the top?

Possibly ? I think there is damage to all but #4 (bottom)
That is a Kubota LP engine (diesel conversion) that has been run lean AND repeatedly shut down at operating rpm (2700rpm)

Where is the damn oil drain on this thing?

Customer wants oil and filter(?) Changed before he puts it up for sale.

    Any idea what it's worth?

Comes with a snow blower and canvass cab. All looks to be in excellent shape.

    Very nice running hydrostatic unit.

Sure isn't easy to work on though.

$800-$1,100 around these parts. Not much need for the blower though here.

Put the snowblower on this morning and cleaned up the driveway a bit.

I got it stuck pretty dang quick. Ha. I was trying to clear what I had shoveled against the fence yesterday and got it stuck in the deeper snow.

It's a prefect storm right now for getting stuck. Lots of snow over the last three days onto ground that's not frozen yet. Plus it's hovering just above freezing.

Anyway. Towed it out without issue but I'm thinking whether chains or weights is the way to go? I was thinking chains. I didn't have much trouble with it otherwise other than a little slipping here and there. I figured the chains might do the trick.

I agree. The chains make a huge difference.

I have an old Case 446 with a blower. I never thought it would work better with weights.

My 200 lbs and chains and it's a snow blowing monster.

This thing certainly isn't a monster but does well enough for the small-ish driveway. If we really get socked in the Hutterites a mile south will always help out.
