I had to pay $72 more than planned to expedite shipping and get the shock absorbers here tomorrow, but I got them! My mechanic was able to order the Bilsteins through his supplier; I am going to pick them up tomorrow and drop them off at the dealership!

Yes, LE is the base model. Don't know about BSM. Had one as a loaner for about 2 hours  recently when they did my "complimentary" oil change & tire rotation. Nice sled; it really has some zip. Congrats on your new frame.

I'm amazed by how fast the car is; It's just a naturally-aspirated 4-banger, right?

I think they make a 3.5. Don't know which one I had but it moved like the last car I owned, in the last millennium, a '95 Bonneville SLE, which was an excellent GM product. Ancient history.

Jesus, imagine having to turn your head slightly and pay attention to your surroundings.

Just a quick google search away:

A quick google shows that the Base LE doesn't have it. The LE "Upgrade" does.

Hey, my 2010 Taco doesn't even have power windows, much less blind spot monitors; I could care less if the car has them or not. I was merely pointing out that the car probably left the factory without them due to the supply shortage, and so that due to the same shortage, it probably costs more than a similarly equipped 2020 or 2021 Camry with the monitors!

I thought the base Camry had steel wheels with covers; This one has alloys and also a power seat...

If you move beyond my sarcasm and to the actual meat of my post, it says it's an option, not standard equipment.

I cannot say for Toyota but many brands come with alloy wheels and power seats/windows/locks on almost all models regardless of trim unless its truly the cheapest vehicle they offer. Think of a base level Yaris or Fiesta and it comes with no extra features at all.

I don't even think Toyota makes anything with manual windows anymore!

I dont know about Toyota, 2019 was the last model year I saw a Ford work truck with manual windows and that was a very strange tech package special order.

That's the problem with the Toyota option packages. The packages are more guidelines, rather than rules. No one has really every been able to show a definitive "rule" for what things come on which packages. Just about everything that's typically included in a "package" can also be included individually via special order, dealer options (like wheels), etc...

My truck has been dropped off at the dealer for its frame replacement; A good number of TW members said they had gotten water pumps replaced when they frame job was done, and said I should do the same. My uncle, who was a mechanic for many years and does pretty much all of his own work on his 2012 Tundra, said that it would not be a bad idea since my truck has 140K miles on it; I am waiting for the service manager at Thompson Toyota to get back to me with an official quote, but he estimated that a water pump would cost about $400 installed. I know there is dealer markup here, but I haven't signed off on it yet and am wondering what everyone here thinks...?

I believe Ford still has manual windows standard with the "XL" trim on all F-series trucks...

From what I can tell, my truck came with the only three options you could get on a 5-lug RC in 2010; A-C, automatic transmission, and a sliding rear window...

It didn't even have intermittent wipers, which drove me nuts until I did the stalk swap!

I'm hoping so; It's gone up in value like $3,500 since January because of the chip shortage and resulting demand for both new and used vehicles!

Also, crank windows are something I'm fine with; What still confounds me is that the Tacoma didn't come standard with intermittent wipers until last year!
