There's no certainty that the trd lift wouldn't do it as well. Mine and @a2lowvw have much better suspension than the trd lift and both got it. It's just one of those weird things

Toyota will always play the aftermarket card to dodge warranty claims. But yeah could just as easily happen with the lift they offer. It's disappointing this issue still exists even with the latest model.

By contrast, I haven't run into the issue despite running 2.5 of lift for a good 5 years. Thought I had the issue but it ended up being the wheel bearing.

I supposed there is no possibility of getting the dealer to deal with this? The frustrating thing is I specifically didn’t lift my truck over 2 inches to avoid common issues from lifting it too high.
If the dealer says yes the needle bearings are bad do they just replace them with new needle bearing or is the bushing the updated oem part?

Unfortunately, the replacement part to fix the "problem" isn't OEM. Like @Wyckedan said, its just one of those weird things. The sound bothers me enough to get the part replaced. I love my truck, and tossing $100-200 more at it isn't a big deal. ItS aN iNvEsTmEnT.

Yeah I will just pay to have this fixed elsewhere if thats the case. Is this something that someday soon is just going to leave me stranded on the side of the road or do I have time? Looks like the shop is about 1 month out. I have 3700 miles on the truck

    X2 on the ST Maxx.

I now run the Kenda Klever R/T and those are great, too.

    Hi all,

I am searching for a 1st gen tundra 05/06 4wd double cab and it hasn't been easy. i found a dealer selling one that LOOKS to be clean, but I want to get some eyes on it before I fly out (from southern california). Like, in-person visual check of everything. I've already checked all records and it seems to check out good. If anyone is located near northern oregon and willing to go see it in person... let me know. It's located in Hermiston, Oregon.

I can Venmo some cash for the time and trouble. thanks guys!
