Agreed. I had them pull it off at the dealership before I left with it as well as a couple ugly ass black pinstripes that went the length of the cab right under my window

Pinstripes! WTH Was it used? They put pinstripes on a lot of used cars to hide blemishes.. good call!

I have an SR 2019 and found (another) random plug that is unused with green and white wires…. It’s located in the middle/center between the radiator and grill looking down…. My guess is it’s prewired for Fogs but that’s just a guess….

That is where the engine harness connects the fog lights to the main harness. You'll have to check under the dash as well. From what I have observed I believe 2016-2019 SR with convenience package is prewired, 2020+ SR is prewired. I think I saw someone with a 2020 SR utility no convenience prewired, not positive though.

Yes. Get the premade harness if you don't want to make it, plug in the relay, put in the stalk (10 mins) and go. You just saved hundreds of dollars instead of buying it with it in.
Check to see if the wiring is there first, most are.
You can make an SR better than an SR5 or even offroad by doing it yourself. Tires, rims, suspension, radio, fogs, roof rack, etc. Jacked up prices on SR5 by letting them sell you it installed.

Thanks for the replies…. I am pretty sure I do not have a convenience package…. The only extra I got with my SR (that I didn’t put on) was 4x4…. Where do the wires go (ie can I utilize them easily) if I didn’t have the convenience package?

Bro, Nitori’s thread thoroughly addresses all your questions about installing fogs into an SR… just helping you out so you don’t waste any time waiting for responses.

And it’s my understanding that if you have factory keyless entry then you have the convenience package.

31 pages of data, great post here.
Easy to tell if you have the wire to the stalk, 1st picture in below link.
You could put the stalk in, in the dark almost, its that easy.

I read through the first page and how to do it, it’s a good read and very very well done…….but I am frugal or saving for my retirement or cheap or poor or all of these or a combination thereof regardless I have all the stuff to hook them up in hand. I do like the idea of using factory stuff in general as it was designed and made for the truck…….but unfortunately I am not what is considered "prewired’ though most 3rd gens are partially "prewired" (sort of) ……..

I am going to hook up to a relay to the lows or go through the firewall and use the switch provided…. I do intend to use a power distribution block for all the extras that I just happen to have had kicking around.. it’s neater and with electronics/electricity neatness counts.

My SX has a new look for winter. I got a great deal on these offroad wheels, mounted all season Continental Terraincontact HT tires which are as close to winter tires as I could get without going full blown snow tires. We don't get enough snow for dedicated snow tires but these are rated very good in snow and on wet roads. 20211114_113619.jpg 20211016_145200.jpg

Sharp truck. No need for the overly-aggressive tires. These trucks get bad enough gas mileage as is.

I went with compustar through a local pro dealer. It was $600 but it came with drone mobile, proximity unlock, and a two 2 mile remotes. Main reason I didn't look at another brand is I trust their signal security more than vendors that don't even touch on the subject.

N2 designs was the one I went with, have had it since about two weeks into owning the truck and haven’t had any problems with it. Works great too because I didn’t have a key fob for remote lock/unlock and the feature on the N2 works flawlessly. Not to mention I installed it in under 30 minutes. It just hides under the dash, no cutting or crazy wiring involved
