Unfortunately it is a taboo topic here on TW.

Anyone own or owned a Transition Scout Alloy? Would love some comments, input, review, etc. Thanks!

I have the current carbon version but I imagine all the specs are the same minus the frame material. It’s an amazing bike and can likely handle anything you throw at it. If you are looking plow through rock with reckless abandon then this bike is not for you. However, it can still handle them but with a little bit more rider input. Pedals exceptionally well and jumps nicely too.

    Good stuff.

Oddly it seems quite heavy on paper, have not ridden it yet. Outpost factory is just on the other side of town from me (20 miles from house), may head there tomorrow. THANKS!!!

I forgot I had a pair of these, being in Florida I only need them like 1-2 months out of the year. Think Ive worn them once and didn't have any complaints.
I use their AT shorts often and like them.

The summary of it is Kyle went and got the vaccine and had an extremely adverse reaction to it. I think he spent a couple days in the hospital and then had months of shitty recovery (the symptoms would come back at random as he was doing better). Anytime he posted anything about his issues he would be attacked being either anti/pro vaccine while being neutral and just sharing his story. He probably should have turned the comments off or not read them, but I think he was also trying to connect with people - but the internet is a shitty place. I feel bad for him, because throughout the process he hasnt been political or giving out medical advice.

Transition has a reputation for producing durable bikes but that comes with a little extra weight (both carbon and aluminum versions).

anyone have a lead on where i can order a new nx or gx eagle derailleur? i ordered one from bike barn yesterday, their site said it was in stock. got an email this morning saying its 8-12 weeks. bummer.

found one on an indian or african website, but shipping was more than the part.

not in a super big rush, but wanted to finish my hard tail drive train upgrade by christmas

Hah! Good luck. I've been keeping an eye out for a gx eagle derailleur as well but.....no luck. they're just out everywhere. You'll have to call local shops and see if they even happen to have one. Or find them used online. :/

West of Loveland / Fort Collins. No, it’s a Hero 8 Black. Super happy with it once I figured out some settings other than the factory ones. I actually took some of the smoothness out of it for a better realistic view of the trail. There’s a Boost setting that makes it even smoother but it dumbs down the viewing pleasure of what the trail really is in my opinion.
