Cost of used shocks + cost to ship a big box + cost to rebuild

I may as well just buy some from Accutune to the tune of 800-900 valved my way. The only reason why I haven't done so is the long wait for new Kings.

Is there maybe a small outfit in Fresno that will do it? With all those built crawlers out there I bet there's someone who can do it right

Guess I'm just trying to figure out a value on my own and the used set offered to me.

They'll sit in a storage anyway until I gain the confidence to weld on shock mounts on the 4R.

Looooooooong wait times, but yeah I may go that route.

If I figure $200 for a rebuild, I should pay no more than $300 for some 2.0s, and no more than $500 for some 2.5s?

Once every other sorry problem on my truck is worked out I'm gonna pull the Kings and Icons off and send to Accutune for full rebuilt/custom valving, I had it done locally last time for the Kings but they've had this weird floaty/bouncy issue at highway speeds ever since. Just gonna have Accutune do it and be done with it

    My Bilsteins are longer :laughing::bananadead:

I'm always the camera guy for others when wheeling, so here are some bad shots of my rig dropping the rear with the Billies

I tried a quart of Lubegard 23232 Complete Synthetic Power Steering Fluid last night. It did seem to quieten it down a little. Though I think the pump vanes are toast at this point so I'll try another pump.

I'm not familiar with a PS pressure regulator on a 100.

Though I did install a new air control valve along with the rack.

I see Napa has some ISO32 hydraulic oil and some Pentosin fluid.

I'll talk to my buddy at Wits End to see if he has any ideas.

The other thing that happened is all of my power steering issues started the night we drove back from Silverton. I remember it was starting to whine on that trip. I think I got into something up there like I get into with some more aggressive wheeling here that aggravates the PS issue.

They're internal to the pump, it's a slide valve with a spring behind it.

Ahh got ya. So a new pump will replace it.

I wonder if this type of aux PS cooler would work? Will need to find a place to mount it.

So it rides pretty decent so far, nothing obviously way off. Needs an alignment though before I’ll drive it more than to the burrito shop.

Gonna have to get rid of this squat too.

Go to a junkyard and pull some dakota leaves, or I have some I can ship if you wanted, they lift nicely and ride well
