    Ok, I guess I’m in somewhat uncharted territory.
    I have the choice of +1 or +2 on both the exhaust and intake. I’m going with supertech based off a local builder’s general advice.

    With past engine builds I’ve gone as big as the heads would allow, so I guess I’ll stick with that philosophy (based off past results). This engine is a much different animal than what I’ve dealt with before (pushrod two valve carbureted) and wasn’t sure if going too large was self defeating with a 4 valve OH setup.
    My R1 was 5 valve, but I just changed the cams and that was way way more than enough.

    Wish I ended up using the stroker crank, but after the Dustin JE Ultra piston fiasco I was over it.

    Mine are 1mm over. Intake and exhaust. Not sure if they can fit larger. Especially with cams and overlap.

    With the valves, you'll get a nice amount of flow potential.

    Heck. With just that build, it'd be good to get an N/A dyno....wink wink. Should there be time in your build for it. :D

    I do have a Dragy that gives some great real world very accurate data though.

    Hey y'all I haz two questions. Do I need to run the double bearing pulley on the roush tensioner and can I run a stock size belt on a 2.8 pulley with the roush tensioner?

    You can run the OE pulley on the Roush tensioner and you can run the stock length belt on the 2.8. I recommend the RPM belt though if you do so. The construction of it allows the belt to last a SUPER long time in comparison to the OE offering.

    No need but it’s a nice pulley. that’s what I’m running with the RPM that @12TRDTacoma noted. Roush, double roller and RPM

    Agreed. It's worth the extra work needed to run it and I anticipate it to be the last part of the system that will need servicing.

    you dont have to run that double bearing.
    but it may last much longer giving peace of mind.

    Wasn't part of the problem when running the stock bearing the belt is right on the edge of the roller so something has to be done to adjust it.

    I know mine was absolutely right on the edge of the roller until I replaced it with the double bearing roller. I didn't feel comfortable running it the way it was long term.

    Well, it WAS a really narrow roller which was barely larger than the width of the belt itself, which is what prompted me to find that dual bearing roller, it was just more peace of mind as a whole for me and it seemed like it would provide a lot more stability over it's single bearing counterpart.

    I'm curious if the 38/32 valves from the roller cam GR and UR engines could be modified to work. The intake valve is only 1mm longer in the stem... the exhaust is a little over 3mm, but it appears as though the extra length is all contained in the tip. The Lexus IS F 2UR-GSE Titanium intake valves, and high nickel Stainless exhaust valves, are an absolute bargain.

    Would need to get one in hand to measure and compare. The tops can always be ground down. Should the retainer reliefs be in the same locations.
