Yeah that's crazy. I play a lot and I'm only 1360. I've run into people like that every once in a while (nothing that nuts). I ran into someone that was already 400 something after the first couple weeks after the season dropped. I think the only way that can happen is there are multiple people playing on that account. Maybe kids, parents, brothers, sisters, etc...? I dunno? I play a lot and I won't be close to that level at the end of the season and the new season doesn't come out until Feb 22.

 

I'm just working on getting things that will be put into the DCV in February. Which is why I was trying to get The Forth Mark ship since you won't be able to get it after this season. There are some weapons that I'd like to pick up and a few odds and ends just to say I've got them. But that ship I've really been trying for, for some reason or another? I think it was because it is "supposedly" one of the rarest ships in the game and only has a 1% drop rate. The only other ship I'd rock is the Trials ship but after 66 times Flawless I still haven't seen it drop. I did get the sparrow to drop at around 40 something trips to the Lighthouse but I've never seen anyone get the ship ever. I know it exists since I've seen it a few times in the wild. I'll keep trying for it.

 

Maybe PC? I dunno? I mean there are ways you can do it but it would be boring as fuck. As far as end game content goes... Any GM NF, Master VoG, IB, or Trials will knock his level back down to 1330 for most activities. That is just a fake number. It doesn't mean that he puts out more damage than you do if you are over 1330. It's just the level his artifact is leveled to. If he were to go into Trials? He would be 1330 just like you or I. IB? 1330 just like you or I. So it is no benefit other than bragging rights I suppose?

As long as you are at max power level of 1330 (not counting your artifact) you don't put more damage or take less damage. If you both shot the same thing you would get the same numbers.

 

But yeah... Oct 8th? I don't think I had even finished the season pass. Though I didn't really burn through it since this is going to be a long season. All I really wanted was the ornament for the Lorenz Driver out of the season pass. I love that weapon.

 

Yeah I don't know how they did it. Like I said, the only thing I can think of is multiple people playing on that account. I mean you could farm lost sectors or go into the shattered realm and shoot thrall I suppose? And maybe they have a macro set up for doing just that while afk? I don't know? But there is no benefit other than bragging rights. They aren't more powerful than you if you are maxed out at 1330 with all your weapons or armor so that's kind of a moot point to me. I saw a few crazy numbers not long after the new season but I've never seen anything like that. That's just nuts.

Hell... I only run two characters now. I don't even have a third. I still main my Hunter but for the last month or so I've been taking my WL through Trials just for a different play style. Shatterdive is stupid and I'm ready for it to be nerfed (and I "main" a Hunter lol). But it's just stupid OP and is the easy mode button in PvP. They can leave it alone for PvE since it's not obtrusive. But damn... even "I" feel guilty for using it in PvP lol.

 

I record all of my Trials matches. These were the two guys that I found on Destiny Fireteam Finder on the app. Didn't realize that the one dude talked about his bad acid trip almost half the match lol. Wish the other guy would have had his mic shared. He was really cool and it's hard when you only hear one side of the conversation in the video.

It's 58 mins long from start to finish so I don't expect anyone to watch it. But I stream and record every time I run Trials. Just been running my WL for something new and playing around with different builds.

Lol... this is why the Lorentz Driver is fun to play with. It won't compete with someone that can really snipe but it's a lot of fun to play around with. The Titan had to be pissed at 1:25 in the video with the no scope that turned into a double kill due to the headshot from the Lorentz. I just spent the rest of the match fucking around with it.

So last week my monitor started going out. I've had it for 2 years or so and it's been a great monitor. I was playing one day last week and all the sudden the monitor just shut off and wouldn't come back on. Finally unplugged it from my UPS and waited a few minutes and plugged it back in and it came back on. Played for a few days and while playing Trails last weekend it went out on me again in the middle of a match. So that was the end of that. Unplugged it and plugged it back in about 5 times but it would go off within 5 mins.

I've been looking for a HDMI 2.1 monitor for the last year ever since the PS5 came out. There are only a handful of monitors that actually have HDMI 2.1. There are some TV's that have HDMI 2.1 but the issue is most of them are 55" or larger and capped at 60Hz. The one I was playing on was a 34" Ultrawide monitor that was 21:9 aspect ratio so I've gotten used to playing on that. But there are absolutely no 21:9 monitors on the market with HDMI 2.1.

This is the one I ended up with.

43" is a little more than I needed but in reality it is only 3" wider than what I was playing on previously. The only issue is it's a 16:9 aspect ratio and it's been a long time since I've played on that. But considering I sit within 5' from the monitor it completely covers my field of view. As good as my last monitor was, this one is unreal. Full 4K HDR at 120fps is just unbelievable to look at. Since it's a gaming monitor there is no motion blur like you would get with a TV (even with HDMI 2.1).

Okay.... Lorentz Driver is my favorite weapon to play around with. As long as you don't try to out snipe someone that is using a sniper it is stupid easy to use and will shut down almost any super.

I just recorded the last 15 mins of gameplay from Crucible tonight. I will say one thing... Since I've switched over to the new monitor I have not gone negative one time in Crucible. 120Hz is soooo smooth.

Ugh... Didn't get a chance to get on much this weekend to play Trials. Got on this morning before the servers went down to see if I could get a Flawless run in.

This was the first fucking match that I played. This is why I hate Freelance. My team didn't have a fucking clue what they should be doing. How we lost this is beyond me? How I ended up with 23 kills and the highest K/D and still lost? Well... I'll let you see how bad my team sucked. The first two fucking rounds one of the guys that was put on my team just sat in spawn. You can see me pull out my ghost to see if he left at one point. Obviously he was no help.

Ended up making it to the fifth match before getting knocked out. Didn't have time to start another card since the servers are down now.

Yeah, I'm really liking the new content. The BXR-55 Battler is nothing but the Battle Rifle from Halo. It is a fucking beast. Handles just like the BR out of Halo. The Forerunner Side Arm is just the Hand Cannon from Halo. It hits like a fucking truck and will reach out to Sniper distances. Ran VoG tonight so didn't get a chance to go into the dungeon yet. We'll do that tomorrow. The BXR might be my new favorite weapon.

 

All of the new Legendary weapons are new takes on old Halo weapons. Unfortunately that sword is lackluster at best. It it does Sword things but the Caster Swords got a buff and those are the only Swords I play with. I've gotten quite a few of the Half-Truths and have scrapped all but one of them. If they were a Vortex frame I might consider using one but Adaptive frames really have no use in the game right now as far as damage output goes.

That said... I really like that they have gone back to the look and feel of the old Halo Weapons. The BXR feels exactly like the BR from Halo. It's awesome.
