I almost had a reason to call him a month ago when I broke a Spindle on my VW Thing on the Fremont Trail outside of Bryce Cyn. I ended-up calling a local tow company which got me out (it wasn’t easy and would have made for a great video!) In my case we had an early winter storm moving in so time was of the essence and Matt’s based ~2 hours from where I was. Even using a local company my recovery took nearly six hours!

I do enjoy Matt’s video’s. May have to order a T shirt from him.

Love their videos, bought a shirt form their website and try to wear it when I go meander though the mountains trails as a good luck charm

Big fan of Matt’s channel. It’s one of the few channels that is appealing to both me and my kids and I don’t need to worry about the content being inappropriate.

I just got myself a MOR hat for my birthday. I thoroughly enjoy this dude's content. He seems like such a knowledgeable but humble dude.

Probably my favorite "Wow, Matt is an awesome guy" moment (and also happens to be on a Taco!) was when the customer recommended a cardboard wheel spacer as a trail fix to get her truck back to the road where a flatbed was waiting. Immediately when I heard the customer suggest this I thought "omg, how stupid can you be.. cardboard??" What does Matt do? Listens without reacting, thinks it over, and then proceeds to start cutting up a stack of business cards to mickey mouse a cardboard wheel spacer and get the truck rolling! Really made me admire the dude more than I already did... doesn't have to be smartest guy (or gal in this case?) in the room.

Curious what a recovery like that would cost?

Not enough bandwidth on the internet to list.

That is the big question I am always left wondering about with some of these recoveries! I stumbled on the series a few months back and have literally binge-watched nearly ALL of them.

The recent one they did where they showed the results of their asking viewers to pitch in for the shelter. Matt literally dumps a hefty bag of cash, some $20k, onto the table in front of the shelter volunteers. They've got some serious pull!

Almost a million views per video or more and a ton of subscribers on YouTube is likely to bring in some cheddar.

I love his channel? what is the truck he's using now? It was always old Jeep Cherokees.

He's said he'd like to use Tacomas but for the price of 1 tacoma, he could have 3 jeeps.

The running start, slingshot rescues are nuts.

Also crazy when they need to hook up 2 tow vehicles to pull one.

I think he also mentioned something about the IFS on the trucks being an issue. I don't recall the video, but it was one of the ones where he had the banana going over some door-high rocks lol
