Anyone rocking an RCI bed rack on a 5’ bed? Trying to see if the 52” one will fit. Measuring the bed and shell locations says it should, but this has all the makings of me thinking it will work and then completely overlook something.

I've always eyed the URD kit since it's far cheaper but wasn't sure how different it was.

Not today, but finished editing pics from my last trip today. Some favorites:

As much as I hate on my Dakars for carrying capacity, with a shock relocate they droop decent.

Not a bad time at all considering it's east coast wheeling on legal trails/roads. Getting harder and harder these days to find free legal wheeling on this coast.

Finally, finally after many mental pictures, then sketching up ideas, then cardboard templating, then some R&D and trial and error ... I finally have my extra cab storage! The upper back panel will have some sort of additional storage, still finalizing thoughts around that. I used 1/2" Birch plywood, some steel, some aluminum, and flush-mount, invisible hinges.

Looks like you kept the "pockets" accesssible on each end? Looks nice and clean, lots of closed storage.

I cut the rear panel replacing that section with plywood, attached to the back wall using the seat belt fasteners. I trimmed the side panel edges so the plywood sits behind it.
    upload_2021-11-16_16-37-44.jpg

The main box is attached to that panel with "L" brackets at the rear stringer using M6 threaded inserts to make removal/install easier. The front of the main box is secured at the factory location for the drink tray - I located the driver side one and cut a small section of carpet. I cut and bent the steel brackets. I used M6 threaded inserts to attach the bracket to the box.

Should I be concerned with superficial cracks throughout Transfer Adapter?

Finished up a 3 day job today of replacing steering rack & lower control arm bushings, and new lower ball joints. Might just be my last project like this. It took everything I had in me to pull it off by myself.

This ^^. I've heard that you need a press to make the bushing replacement an easier job. I could be wrong but if you forced it that could be the cause of you woes.

Super nice work. That's a really great idea. I'm also slightly partial to the color of your truck, lol. Mystic Purple for life!
