I would agree is pretty darn sweet. You can surf at sunrise, be in the snow mid day and still catch a few waves at sunset. But CA is going downhill. The politicians and special interest groups are ruining it. More and more metropolitan areas are experiencing higher crime rates, they’re starting to experiment with universal basic income, misdemeanor crimes aren’t prosecuted and the police are becoming impotent. I’m curious how the experiment will play out in 20 years. And the housing prices…

C537B983-BB4F-48AD-95B6-583D470525D3.jpg I made a little something today. After apparently not bringing down my spare tire since I bought my truck in 2016 the chain come along system they have switched to was so frozen up I destroyed my tire iron and all its little attachments meant to feed through the hole to bring the tire down. So I quickly came up with this so that I was either going to break it free, break it, or flip the truck! Lol. Worked like a charm !

You look into quad lock? I’m still uncertain on phone mounts. Don’t really need the rail mounting, so I’m thinking of trying the course motorsports one.

Well yeah it takes up almost the full height of the bed. Diamond back is a must imo. Especially after seeing LLOD setup. Just secures everything in your bed, plus it looks cool. The decked would compliment the cover for security but it’s very niche imo especially when you have to buy it yourself not get it free lol

It’s amazes me how people can install things so effortlessly while filming and not screwing up. Every time I try I run into issues.

Is it worth the effort to do that? Seems easy to mess up and not sure how much it can hold

I’ve heard the blackout is nice. I wonder how it compares to the diode stealth bar setup.

Mine has been empty since I bought the trick. Between it being small and insecure, I don't see much use for it.

haha it’s ok. It’s meant for this purpose. The brass piece has a waterproof o-ring and so does the antenna. Plus I used a gasket from another midland antenna mount so there’s three layers of rubber protection. They say it’s car wash proof. I tried pulling it off by hand and it’s not going anywhere. It’s built like the shark fin. I could alway. I could add a big washer and black silicone under it though for extra special level of protection.

but no there weren’t many other spots that worked and had good reception.

I thought about filming my install but there are many other vids already out there and truthfully, the install is so rudimentary that it’s more or less unnecessary and can be explained adequately in plain text. Not to mention that filming everything in a manner acceptable for me to upload as an instructional guide would likely have at least doubled the time to finish the install.
