Realistically, I would put a Toyota/Lexus motor in between the frame rails. If you have the wiring harness it will be a lot cheaper and compatible.

I was considering doing a Tundra 5.7L, but the gas mileage is already terrible!

By then, the car will have 180K miles. Not worth much and I surely don't want it around when my kids start driving. That car costs more on insurance than my diesel 1 ton.

What about doing the simple thing and putting in a 4.0L?

What would you do with body/chassis?

And then my gas mileage would be even worse than it is now!

The 4.0 is worth it IMO.

Would the A/C compressor have to be relocated? Would I need a bigger radiator and A/C condenser?

It would be a big job. Lots of other changes needed besides radiator and A/C.

Luckily, I don't have to worry about replacing the engine for at least another 160K miles!

Also, the sticker in the door jamb says this Camry was built in June 2021; The guy at the dealer said it was a 2022 model, but I suspected otherwise and a run of the license plate number through Carfax confirms that it is in fact a 2021 model...

I managed to fit all of it in the Camry, but I still miss my truck!

That's where you take a lower mileage engine out of a totaled Lexus and put it in the rolling chassis!
