Also top speed of 65 mph. I don't thinks it's meant for street use. I can see the appeal for farmers/ranchers/hunters with huge tracts of land, especially in winter. Kind of a niche vehicle, reminds me of the Mahindra Roxor.

 

Except the Roxor can use a gas can and be driven on the street.

 

New Ford Maverick Touted as a "refreshingly back to basics truck"

 

I have a great WTF pic. Being a landscaper in the 2nd largest city in Illinois that isn't always the friendliest we find our fair share of interesting items in flower beds and landscaping. This find has stuck with me for the last few years. A coworker and I found this in a bush at a children's park in a not super nice area.

We both looked at each other like what is this doing here. And yes it was close to 8" in length. This was way different find than the usual bong or pipe find.

 

So people can’t eat a steak in their yard and forget to clean up the silverware?thankfully guns are banned there otherwise you may have dug up an AK47 that someone used to cut up their dinner.

 

When you start finding yellow fuel jugs in the trees, you know the turf war has gotten real.

 

You see a butter knife also right? JK

 

The park was on a corner and it had a pair of shoes hanging on a telephone line right above the entrance to the jungle gym.

I think it's just a coincidence that someone was having a nice cookout and they accidentally left it behind and some of the kids saw the movie the sandlot and thought throwing shoes on the lines is normal.

So I did have a pic of this but must have deleted it but I was working at some park and just doing whatever. A coworker and I go to break and look in the parking lot and see a light blue Honda Odyssey comes rolling in and all we see is the front doors open and a person walks to the back and opens the hatch and then we see 13 or more people standing up in the back and getting out. I mean men women and children just all standing back there. We both agreed that was one of the oddest things we've seen on the job.

 

Remember when Toyota used to offer back-to-basics trucks in the previous decade?

That was about what the 1st gen Chevy volt was getting and what all the automotive manufacturers were saying was possible out of electric cars until Elon came around.

 

Our entire bed is made of plastic... And I'll give ford credit where's it's due, though I've long given up on them, they are at least producing a "small" truck now. One of the few.

It's the size of the old generation Ranger.

An actual compact truck since all the midsize trucks are now the size of a full size from the early 90's.

I've driven a turbo AWD Maverick and it will seriously scoot.

You have to remember that Ford isn't going to be producing any more "economy" cars so this is the economy model.

With the base model hybrid getting 43mpg for around $20k, Ford is going to sell a ton of them.

This will be the vehicle of choice for fleet trucks like meter readers, pest control, etc. where a bigger truck just isn't necessary.

 

Base model is front wheel drive
