Its so weird when that happens....a stock that averages 500k daily all of a sudden hitting 62m volume before lunch...how is it not higher than that? i guess day traders and algos

 

like when DWAC made the news....traded 500m+ in one day

No. I was looking at those calls bought at 12:57 after the market closed so I was planning on looking into it today. Sucks to be that guy that bought $1mil worth of calls at close.

 

it's obvious that the media has been and will continue to do the bidding of the hedgies.

June 29 that stock was at $3.20+ I'm guessing someone has been shorting the shit out of it for months...and finally covered. Something triggered the cover. We'll never know why, But they still get out with plenty of profits on millions of shares and guess what? They can reset and short again....

 

IF that stock had options I would bet the $2 put volume for 1 month would be insane...because the entity that covered drove the price up and not anything substantial about the stock..

Just my guess based on every other one of these crazy spikes...

Well luckily they don't have outstanding debt convertible to shares...other wise the shorting entity would continue to sell shares short to meet ALL open orders...get in debt millions of shares at $2 and then the continued "Market Sale" of shares drives the price down and down and down...It bottoms out at $0.10 and the company loan gets called in by the Shorter...He gets paid back $1,000,000 worth of shares at $0.10 a share or 10,000,000 shares and immediately returns those shares to cover his shorting.....See how that works? Now he's sold 10,000,000 shares at $2 for $20,000,000 off his $1,000,000 loan. PERFECTLY LEGAL. Oh and because of the way taxes work the IF you can drive the company bankrupt and they don't repay the loan AND you never have to return shares to cover the shorts (because shares are now worth zero) not only is there no short term capital gains on the short shares revenue, but you can take a capital loss on the unpaid $1M loan...and get taxed as ordinary income...YAY 'merica
