    New poll.

Was washing bacon grease out of a pan and it reminded me of the can of grease mom had by the stove for cooking. Don’t think I ever saw her use it but it was there for a long time.

I hardly ever have bacon but I've been eating frozen hamburger patties. I'll let that sit in the pan overnight to solidify then scrape it out and wash the pan.

If I need grease for a pan, I'll use butter. :notsure:

My wife’s grandma used to spray WD-40 on her legs and rub it in.

My parents still have one but don't use it for cooking..... still use it as habit from their first house....
House was over 100 years old and plumbing(4" clay tile) was installed well before there was a code.
Drained the grease into it after cooking greasy foods so it didn't go down the drain and harden there to create problems in the plumbing and/or leach bed later.

What happened when Brutus went to Mount Olive?

    Popeye got pissed.

    Goodmorning crew.
We keep grease in a jar(pickle, Mason, etc) inside a kitchen cabinet. When it get full or near full....or starts producing a foul odor then it gets pitched. Wouldn't be good for septic tank
